Accenture Gains, Warner Bros. Rises on Paramount Settlement, Critical Metals Trades Higher

On this episode of Stock Movers:

  • Accenture (ACN) shares are up after Anthropic partnered with the technology consulting company to test the safety of its advanced artificial intelligence models. While analysts are positive on the news, they don’t see much near-term impact to financials. 
  • Warner Bros. Discovery (WBD) shares rallied after Paramount Skydance settled lawsuits brought by 12 state attorneys general and the Writers Guild trade union, a move that will allow the company to close its historic $110 billion acquisition of Warner Bros. Shares of Paramount and Warner Bros. both jumped on Monday after Bloomberg News first reported that a settlement had been reached, with Warner now trading very close to the $31-a-share acquisition price. 
  • Critical Metals (CRML) shares rose as much as 43%, the most since April, after President Donald Trump said the he reached an agreement with Denmark over Greenland that would give the US “permanent control over security” of the Arctic island and that this deal addressed US concerns over the territory.
