The first arrest in the "Kafir" screenshot case has dealt a significant setback to the CPM, with the Special Investigation Team (SIT) arresting DYFI block committee member Jithin. According to the SIT, it was Jithin who forwarded the controversial screenshot to DYFI leader Ribesh Ramakrishnan. Investigators also revealed that Jithin was a member of all the initial groups where the screenshot first surfaced.
