കണ്ണൂരില്‍ കെ എസ് യു നടത്തിയ പ്രതിഷേധത്തിനിടെ ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രിക്ക് പരുക്ക്. കഴുത്തിലും കയ്യിലും പരുക്കേറ്റെന്നും പ്രതിഷേധക്കാര്‍ മര്‍ദിച്ചതാണെന്നും വീണ ജോര്‍ജ്. കണ്ണൂരിലെ പരിപാടി കഴിഞ്ഞ് തിരുവനന്തപുരത്തേക്ക് ട്രെയിന്‍ കയറാനായി ആരോഗ്യമന്ത്രി റെയില്‍വേ സ്റ്റേഷനിലെത്തിയപ്പോഴായിരുന്നു കെ എസ് യു പ്രതിഷേധം.  മന്ത്രിയെ ഉടന്‍ തന്നെ ജില്ലാ ആശുപത്രിയില്‍ പ്രവേശിപ്പിച്ചു.പിന്നാലെ മുഖ്യമന്ത്രിയടക്കമുള്ള സി പി എം  നേതാക്കള്‍ ഒന്നടക്കം ആശുപത്രിയിലെത്തി
