Yo, what's up, y'all?

What's going on?

Welcome into it brand new episode of Snaps. That's right, the first episode Snaps here that is uh independently produced, and you gotta say, my guy, Eric Murray has done an excellent job running the lead on this. Let's get some housekeeping out the way and then we'll dive into a very spring game filled episode of Snaps here. First off, but ba ba bah Okay, so we we have renamed everything. It may take a little while for the various areas to reflect these renamings. But on YouTube it will be Snaps CFB underscore. That's right. Somehow it was the the opposite, is there? We go so set up somehow Snaps CFP was taken, so Snap CP underscore on YouTube, on Instagram and TikTok just Snaps CFB And yeah, I guess that's kind of that. And for those who don't know, we're no longer in the volume, we're doing this thing independently. We'll see where it ends up going, so you know, we'll see what happens production value wise and everything is. After the show. We got to figure out exactly how to get the audio up on our podcast scene and whatnot. But we're live here on YouTube, baby, so already we're rocking and rolling, and if you enjoy the show, we thank you so much for being here. Tony only in here already. If you can hit the like button, that's a great easy way sub to the channel if you don't already, I know it, like I think about. Maybe not as much in the lives, but the people who watch our videos about fifty percent unsubscribed. So if you hit that sub button, that certainly helps. And yeah, share it with your friends in your various group chats and whatnot. Airon What's up man, Good weekend calling football, good weekend overall.

Yeah, first off, man, I'm just wait, are.

You on your are you on your mic?

Check you?

I just thought about this as we started the show. I'm not on d Okay, yeah, no, no, I can hear you. This sounds like we get a little echoey for some reason. Not too much.

Okay, We're fine. I will toot my own on here. I'm actually kind of impressed that I figured out how to hell to do this so we did.

Yeah, no, I agree. I mean, look, one.

Dude, usually t BO and I would just show up, you know, just we picked the link, we do our research, we show up, we talk the things that go on behind the scenes. So once the big thank you to the Volume for helping us at least through the transition, and uh, we will continue to figure out how to be even more creative besides just talking. So good.

Yeah, yeah, that sounds very good. All right, so thank you everyone to being here. We're gonna start here's kind of a general rundown for the sh and eventually I want to have a rundown on the side too that you can follo along with. But we're gonna start with Ohio State as kind of the news of the day. No starting quarterback named coming out of spring for Ohio State. Alabama put seventy two k in the stands for a day. We know where Nick Sabans set as well. So I mean we had discussed and well I think we got a clear look at kind of what Alabama's identity is going to be. Now, I did not watch G Day yet. I've watched at least YouTube highlight breakdowns of all the other spring games, but will rely on Aaron for G Day as he actually called it. And here's a random one I want to talk about. I want to talk a little Utah and Cam Rising today because they're kind of hiding under the surfaces. Maybe one of the big movers for next year in college football. And then we'll touch on Little Tennessee and LSU maybe to end the show. George montisnaps. She's assumed twitch also they pay you for view and hours. Yeah, maybe we should actually get a snaps twitch an even think about that because I'm pretty sure stream yerk can go to both at once, and then we just have to figure out how to do the chat and everything. Thank you all for hanging out with us. So let's dive in. No quarterback named for the Buckeyes following their spring game. Of course, Ohio State kind of viewed, as I would say, the premier challenger to Georgia, though in a lot of circles, maybe even the favorite over Georgia. The key difference between the two teams is that one has Carson Beck returning and the other has a question mark on at the at the quarterback position. Aaron good or bad sign to emerge out of spring where you had Will Howard, Devin Brown and Julian saying all do in battle good or bad sign that there is no starter named here at the end of spring.

I mean being QB one. Like I selfishly, I always liked when a QB was named, you know, because it was me for four years. So, like, you want to know who the guy is. And I think that is a unique position obviously where reps are limited. And then there's the leadership component too. You know, you have a brand new offense, you have a new offensive coordinator, a new identity on that side of the football. There's a lot of learning that is going to continue to be needed over the next four or five months. You would like everyone to kind of rally around one guy, and I think it happen. And I don't know if you've been a part of quarterback battles or not, but I do feel like the coaches will start to see over the next four or five months. Because there'll be limited contact with coaches, I think they can still do walk throughs and meetings. But who do the receivers gravitate towards? Who is the offense line would gravitate towards their running backs? So and so. So they will start to see who the coach or who the players kind of deem as worthy enough to be the next quarterback there or the starting quarterback at Ohio State. So I think you'll take that into account over the next few months as you continue to assess. But I think for the health of a team, I've always been in the mindset of the sooner. You name the guy the sooner, you know what the offense is going to look like. The sooner that you know Chip Kelly can build the offense around that quarterback and everyone can kind of rally run him as well. So don't like it, but we're still early in the game where it's it's there's still a lot of moving parts for Ohio State.

So a couple of comments get to that are some fair points. Dysola says most programs without a returning started quarterback would say that position is undecided. That is true, And then Bill Kibby says they didn't name a starter because they don't want anyone jumping in the portal. I would push back maybe against that a bit. I get what you're saying, but at the same time, you kind of brought Will Howard in. You thought to be You're, okay, this guy's kind of guaranteed start this year, and we'll developed behind him. Like if Will Howard's named the starter here. I don't think there's any great threat of Julian Saying leaving. And if Devin Brown leaves, I don't know that you care that much. You're never gonna be able to carry three great quarterbacks at the same time. Anyway you're looking for two. I don't think the window, I don't think the portal comes into it, like, well, Howard's not gonna leave again, Julian Sane's not gonna leave right away again like you would have at least had two. I don't want to make too much of this because, as you said, uh, it's it's the timeline thing and they have time to figure it out. I do feel though, and maybe this is me just reading into this situation too much, but this feels like a win for Julian saying that Will Howard was not named the starter because again, when they brought Howard in, saying wasn't on the radar, correct, yep, I mean he did not transfer in until after the Nick Saban news, meaning that the original plan was basically to being Howard in and kind of anoint him. The fact that he did not just run away with this job tells me that they really like what they're seeing out of saying and even if Howard may be a bit more polished right now, which granted Saturday, you.

Throwing Brown out of the conversation, I mean that is that I am? Yeah?

Okay, okay, yeah yeah, I mean is that unfair? Maybe and at risk of someone who doesn't follow Ohio State like you know, singularly or very closely. Maybe I'm misreading it, but saying, without a doubt has the most natural potential a five star cat and I think now Ohio State is going to have to kind of do that dance of Okay, Will Howard probably represents a bit of the safer option.

Yep, which is what this team was built for, this feeling, which was what they to me. I think I think it will end up being Will Howard for for multiple reasons. Like you brought him in there, so obviously you you you weren't very comfortable with what you saw, with what you were returning from a year ago. You probably paid a pretty penny to get him. I mean he was say what you want about what he did at Kansas State. He was one of the premier guys in the portal. So like you went looking, you had this this giant pot of money that you wanted to spend. You dubbed him as your guy that's going to be the quarterback at Ohio State. And once again, like I'm sure there was a lot of zeros to go along with that from whoever it was or is paying Will Howard his his monthly stipend. So and then you look at that what else was brought in and how the team's built? You brought in the number one transferred to the defensive spot position. You're bringing the number one transferred the running backs was running spot position? Are you truly going to name a true freshman quarterback when Ryan Day is essentially his asses on the line right now?

Like you mean you mean right now? Or you you mean eventually like you you're saying, like Eve, okay, push jumps a shove, fall camp. Will you really roll with Julie?

Will you really roll with with with? You have built this roster to win a national championship this year? Are you truly going to put that on the shoulders of an inexperienced eighteen year old individual? I don't think so.

I wouldn't so, Okay, so that so then, but then isn't that interesting? Then that Will Howard just not named the starter. Yeah, he already has, if he already has the monetary investment, and if the plan outside looking in was already to kind of just go ahead and make him the guy, because you ideally do, I mean, it will emerge the conversation.

Then Brown had the conversition.

I guess Georgia tried to play this game last year too, right, they didn't technically name Carson Beck till the fall, right, even though I already kind of knew that he was.

I'm glad you brought that up because it does bring a good example. And this is somewhat what I'll hit with Georgia's well later in the conversation of Georgia had Carson who had you know, played but was never the starter, so he was going to be making his first year. Shard Brock Vandergriff you know, was backup duty as well, and then you had Gunner who was a true freshman. So like, there wasn't a lot of depth at the Georgia quarterback position. Definitely not a lot of guys that have played. You look at you look at Ohio State. You have a brand new quarterback if it is Will Howard. And then are you going to say, if something happens to Howard that you are going to rely on a true freshman to be the guy. So it could be playing the game of the transfer portal of Hey, if something did have we we know, you know, internally, just like I know they knew last year that that Carson was gonna be the guy at Georgia. We know internally that Will Howard is going to be our guy. But it's something happens, we need someone that we at least know can can take some snaps and is not going to fold, you know, being a true freshman. So maybe it is making sure Brown feels like he is a part of the quarterback competition.

Yeah, and people are asking about Aaron Nolan. From what I saw, it looked like Nolan maybe struggled a little bit, but I guess he's that number as well. And look to be clear, also, this is a good place or this is a good way of kind of lighting keeping a fire under Will Howard as well and letting him know, Hey, if you really want this job, a chance to go compete for Natty everything you came here for, Like, you got to continue to tighten up. You can't get lazy because we're not necessarily committed to you. Still, I think we've kind of buried the lead with this Ohio State game because to me, what really shined was the defense. And as we'll talk about, defenses on a spring game are kind of at a bit of a disadvantage in that you're not i mean, LSU ran two coverages, no blitzing. But what you did see you saw a lot of that Ohio State front seven whooping the Ohio State offensive line's ass and the quarterbacks are constantly under dress. They made it hard on all day. And so again that's why this Buckeye team is different. Their national championship hopes and all the improvement they are in kind of rely on them finally having that great defense, and well it looked like it was on display on Saturday. So if I'm a Buckeye fan, I'm a little worried maybe about that quarterback position, and you're gonna continue to keep an eye on it. But I come out feeling very good about how solid the defense looked in terms of force. Again, the quarterback forcing turnovers, just made a ton of plays on Saturday.

Well, you have an elite defense, like we knew that, Like there was no question that Ohio say is going to be one of the premier defenses in college football this year, and they only upgraded it by getting one of the best safeties, if not the best safety in college football. So like that unit is solid. They were great last year and they're gonna be probably even better this year. So like we knew, those guys were be headhunters ready to go. Come come to the spring game. You have a brand new quarterback and a brand new offense that have been together for three months. I mean, where we truly expecting the offense to dominate the spring game? I would say no, I mean a lot of moving things. So I'm not taking anything away from the defense. Was it like this will be very confident saying this, This will be one of the best defenses in college football this year. But the offense is gonna take time. And you know this too. You you you've been in installs with with spring and fall camp. The offense always takes a lot longer to learn. There's a million more things that have to go right for an offense execute a play compared to a defense. All it takes is one defensive player winning a battle up front, and the whole place dead. You need a lot more things going right, so it's gonna take time. I still think this offense has the playmakers. They got the running backs, they got the receiver. We'll see what the quarterback situation. I was like, it's it's the big question for House, saying if they want a championship this year not lies on the offense a lot. And they did not have the best showing this past weekend.

Yeah, and again that's those are the things that you look forward to spring game. One on one, who's winning a run on one? Pass rush, who was winning a one on one with a cornerback? And the d line definitely carried the day for the Buck guys. Now let's move on to the Alabama Crimson Tide. Uh, probably the single most interesting story in all of college football. As you merge out of the Nick Saban Air into the Canadiborior. Alabama put seventy two k in the stands for a day, so a pretty packed house there. Nick Saven started on the field Aaron. He ended up watching the game from a suite. He said he was very nervous about watching it with Miss Terry because he's never watched the game with Miss Terry before. But I gotta say, dude, if you're an Alabama fan after Saturday, I think you're feeling pretty fucking good. I didn't. I didn't really think it looked like Alabama skip missed a step dude, that team. There was a lot of jarlt good I thought I saw. From what I saw, I thought, I thought, well, no, okay, So this is my main takeaway. Jam Miller and Justice Justice Haynes and jam Miller in this offensive line are going to be the driving force of this team and everything else will work off of them. They look like they could have a dominant rushing attack and that's gonna make Jalen Milroe's skill life about a million times easier and make his skill set right which is created with his legs, while also uh throwing the ball downfield. Well, if you can run the ball very well, that opens up all those deep shot opportunities. So no, this looked like a physical run first with Jalen Milroe making all the plays around the edges off into Alabama, and I think that's a really really good reciped success. Also, a lot of pad poppin I found at that Alabima like like just harder hitting than some of the uh than some of the others games I watched over the weekend.

Yeah, no, and and and this was gonna be the interesting thing of we We wanted to keep saying, like, how does Jalen Milroe adapt to this new offense? We saw what it looked like at Washington. We saw Michael Pennick junior. We saw these receivers. We saw a team that mostly focused on throwing the football and at times had you know a handful of games where Washington had success running it, but it was mostly a pass first offense, you know, with those playmakers and a quterback. It's like that. So like the mindset is, oh, my gosh, can can can Jalen Milroe now step his game up and and and start to close the gap as a better passer with this new staff. And I think it's been less of that, at least initially launching the game, less of maybe him becoming this elite passer, and more of hey, we do have these running backs. Hey, we do have this offensive line that we didn't necessarily have at Washington. How do we which every great coaches that passed to Kalyn de boor come back, you know, kind of stand back saying, what can I do with what I have to make this offense run? So I think it's a good sign that he's adapting his system to what fits Alabama, and that's going to be like you alluded to t Bob offensive line running the football, because when you look at the throwing from Jalen, it will get better. There's no doubt about it. You know he's gonna get comfortable and more comfortable in the system. Just like we talked about Ohio State. You don't expect the whole playbook to be out there. We don't expect the quarterback to fill one hundred percent with his reads, especially against the talented defense. So that's going to get better. But this is still going to be a run first offense, opposite of what you saw last year at Washington.

Do you so? So you mentioned you didn't think Milroe did that. Well, I know in the first half he a lot offense was pretty unbeatable, and then in the second half the defense came out. I think it was like one three and out in the first half, maybe like seven or eight in the second half, so the defense kind of bounced back. But okay, so Alabama fans listening they're constantly wondering will Milroe be the guy or will Ty Simpson take some sort of giant From what I saw, I didn't. I mean, Simpson looks fine as well, but I still think that Milroe felt like that starting the starting quarterback.

There, No, I think it's Milroe. I think I think he's he's he's experienced, he's played big games, he's won big games. I think there's enough in the tank throwing the football. And like you said, like they showed in the spring game that we look like Alabama, and in the sense of like Pats popping running the football, diamond in the line of scrimmage, running it, all that stuff. So you know, teams watch the spring game, obviously they're gonna take everything they can and go back and assess it. And if I'm watching Alabama, I'm saying, Okay, they're big, their physical, physical running backs. We're gonna need to put an extra defender in the box. And what what did teams do last year for Salabama? They put an extra defender in the box and Jalen was absolutely tremendous throwing the ball vertically down the field. So I would expect a very similar style of offense and offensive players a year or go, obviously with Kaelan down in control, and then you just have to hope and pray that Jalen does get even just a tad bit better that five to twenty yard mark.

Uh Da says, so, TV, from what you saw a Cabama's D line dominating Penetry elis Hu's O line. Thanks, No, I don't. I don't think on that side of the ball. I did come out of that thinking, oh my god, Alabama's offensive line will fucking wreck LSU's front seven at this point, like Rare is going to be the front seven that's gonna be able to stand up against that Alabama offensive line. So I think this was a big win of a weekend if you're an Alabama fan, especially one of the old school Alabama fans, that's all about, you know, run the ball, because I do think that that's and again it's the underrated part of Kailen de bor. I know what they were last year, but the man comes from Sioux Falls football. He wants to run the ball. He wants to uh physically set the tone, and he now has bigger and stronger guys than he has ever had before, were with which to do so.

And the fan base, the fans showed up, Like I think that was you know, I was I wasn't worried that, like it was gonna be like twenty thousand people because Alabana fans always show up today day like they love it. It's like a damn holiday in the state. But what seventy two thousand people was the count?

Two? K I mean again, I told you, dude, they're good. Their masturbatory about their spring game attendance, you knew they were going to show up. Uh news just says everyone said the same thing about Bamazone Line this time last year. Well the thing is Bamazona Line got there though, yeah, they did not start there, but they got there. Look at the form that O Line was in at by the end of the year. Look about well Georgia, Georgia. Yeah, like like, don't don't be trying to act like that O line to end up being good. And again Justice Haynes and jam Miller another year season on both those guys. It's a one two punch combined with Jaylen Milroe that is going to get people headaches.

Well Miel said in the chat too, like we did, and the offense Live wasn't great, and Proctor struggled to start the season and kind of worked into his form, but it was like Milroe's pocket presence was a real problem. He takes too many sacks. Hopefully to bork and fix that and that and that is that is part of his development too. I mean, and you would you would hope that he does himself, even regardless of who the coach was going to be him look internally and say this is the area that I need to get better at and go out there and execute. But I still think that there's the big questions for Alabama Milroe and his his progression as a passer and and what the receivers look like. I still, can you win a lot of games in the SEC being more physical, winning line of scrimmage, Yeah, one hundred percent. And they did it last year and they ended up being, you know, pretty damn close to going to national championship. And that's still work year and in year route without a legitimate passing game with the outside And I still think you have to be a little bit more multi dimensional than just a team that wants to run the ball sixty percent of the time.

Oh it's kind of like I think It's kind of like I think it up until the biggest games and then you tend to need weapons. It's kind of like I thought that was the Bulldogs problem last year. Yes, solid, overwhelming football worked at all times, and then they were against that Alabama secondary and they didn't have any killers and now they had injuries whatnot, but they needed some killers theah I said. I will say this last thing in Atabama. I love this quote from Jalen Milroe saying, quote, there are some things I can get better at from last year. So each and every day I'm trying to get my best me every single time I come into the facility, and I'm challenged to do that each and every day. I have goals that have set for myself, short term girls and long term goals that I need to be the best quarterback in the country this season. I'm passionate. I'm starving to be great and it's going to come with preparation through this offseason. So saying the right things if you're Jalen Milrod there, but yeah, Kaitlyn de bor, I thought, great job again. Alabama kind of looked like Alabama now the prohibitive favorite to win the National championship this year? Once again? Are your uga Bo Dogs and Aaron? You hit the bullet and skipped the Masters?

Yeah?

Called g day. How happy was Kirby smart to see you? Uh?

Kirby was actually very nice to me. It was very nice. Dog just shit herself, it's not so bad in my office.

Did she heard them talk about them dogs?

She did. She got all excited and she's just laying there just just smiling at me and just like you know what I did? No, it was great. It was awesome. Do I wish I was in the Masters? Yes, I admit I wish I was there. Frida convinced Bobo to give me his tickets. He said they did not have a guy that he needed to recruit on Sunday, so he was going to be there, so uh yeah, look on the tickets. I know, I know, I tried. I did ask Bobo that was like, what does it feel like knowing that your quarterback makes more money than you? Andrew is a nicer car and he kind of just smiled at me, like you want to beat my ass?

That didn't go over well, Uh okay, so what were your make because again I apologize, guys. Actually, one game I didn't get eyes on or one, and I didn't get floor either. I see a lot of DJ Lagway talk and we can fix that on tomorrow's show. What do you think about the Dogs?

I thought the Dogs are great. It is I'd been a part of a lot of spring games. I've seen a lot of spring games. I've covered a decent amount of spring games. I've never seen a starting quarterback throw over fifty passes in the game. They went one v one, two v two the entire cut time. I think Carson didn't have one series at quarterback, and that's when they put Gunner in there. So they went good on good. They were pad popping. It was as physical of a game that you will ever see. I walked away extremely impressed. And obviously I know I'm a Georgia fan here, so everyone gonna say I'm a Homer when I say this, But like they looked like what they should look like a true national contending team. The lines of scrimmage were great. The receivers I thought played really really well. I know T Bob was gonna kind of giggle at that. Carson looked great, their running backs looked really good. The eatn kid, what a massive get for Georgia. You ever eatn the former Florida Gator turned Georgia Bulldog. Georgia hasn't had a running back like him in a couple of years. A guy that has the quickness, a guy that can catch the ball with the backfield, that James Cook Swift type guy. That's what he looks like. So I think that is a massive, massive addition seeing what he looked like in Sanford this weekend to what the offense looked like. Front seven defensively is gonna be one of the best in the country. Secondary is young. Malachi didn't play, so you know we'll see obviously it's gonna be an upgrade when he does get back healthy in the ball. But I mean with that front seven, with how physical and big and strong an experience they are, you'll be able to play a lot more cover too, to kind of protect from that youth of the backside.

And Kirby's got the Nick Saban thing or the what else you had for a while when they were calling themselves DBU where like Kirby, Smart's never going to turn in a bad secondary. No, I don't care what the I just don't care. I don't care what the setting is like his secondary will always be one of them that are in the entire country, regardless of youth and whatever else. So you talked to me about the weapons then, because yes, you've written in here in our notes, the wide out's gonna make t Bob cry this year? Are they? Who are? They? Give you the name.

Let me pull up my handy Danny chart over here. We'll go down the list. Dom love It first off year two and they raved about him, reading articles rated about him all camp I talked to Carson on Friday. Carson was raving about Dom Love It. You're like, okay, as we know, it's springtime. Everyone's great, everyone's gonna be in America. Everyone's go to win national championship. Dom Dominated Dominated had an incredible spring game. He saw the quickness, he saw him over the middlefield. He had a badass one, you know, catching the end zone where he essentially pinned on the back of the defender for the game tying touchdown. He looked really good year two, really really good. Coleby Young, the kid from Miami, big ass receiver six three sixty four, made some really impressive catch. Is nice dagger out back shoulder, caught it one on one the end zone raved a lot about him. Those two guys looked really good. Arian Smith looked really good on the outside. Dylan Bell is gonna be Dylan Dell, just a guy you can use all over the place. Ra Rod made a couple of plays. They got four or five guys they feel really good with that look good in the game. Tight Ends is going to get super involved. But I think they really like Oscar and lost it into the season, so I.

Oscar Delt makes a play the announcers to make sure to be on a look about who else said you kinda do to make up for brock Powers.

Yeah, I won, it's more lost and than I think it's more loss than Oscar. Okay, you'll get both.

Sheila Cay say anything, I must have watched a different spring game for you, Jay I. Judging from the chat, there seems to be some frustration with Carson.

Maybe there's a lot of tip passes which good actor hands to the front step. Yeah. Well, and I talked about this last night with Ben Jones. When when you know this, When when you can't sack the quarterback because it's a scrimmage, what do you do for your defense? You put your hands up. Yeah, yeah, I think I think those guys were more apt to just putting their hands up trying to reflect that.

Like Carson's like eight feet tall, dude, what the fuck is.

Big as shit? I thought Carson played fine. I thought he played good. Like was it his best day? Like? No, But like Carson's if you look at some of the throws he made, especially that two minute drive, he threw a go ball in the two man from the right sideline to about forty yards on the left side of the field, probably about a forty five fifty yard throw on an absolute rope, made a couple of throws that just barely missing, some deep ones. So like, is he a finished product? No, But like there are some throws you sat back and say, like that guy is it's that's first rounds out right.

Also, and he's a proven product in the field already too, So we're not going to run two wild in the spring game in which he's honestly playing uh uh one of the best defenses in the coach Yeah, against a better defense, and he'll face ninety five percent.

That's what Kirby said, and I walked away with this is one of the bigger takeaways. Kirby said, because we asked them, like why you know, why one on ones? Why TWOV two is like why this super competitive spring game? He's like, I want these guys to play a game against what might be their best competition this entire year. Like, our offense may not face a better defense for four quarters of what they face on Saturday. Our defense may not face a better offense than what they're facing on Saturday.

And it's I think they'll have a they'll have a better chance of facing as good of an offense. But yeah, defensively, maybe not so much. All Right. The Tennessee Volunteers had their spring game. I don't know not a. I mean, I thought Nico looked fine from what I saw, but again, I'm watching kind of truncated highlight packages. Just didn't seem like there was a lot of a kind of high lights to go around. No, I thought, I did think I would say this. I did think Tennessee's offense as a whole looked as dangerous and fast as it has the last couple of years. As there were a lot of big plays. He just wasn't necessarily Nico every time.

No, Yeah, I thought I thought Tennessee looked good. I thought the backup quarterback looked good. But I know he's been I believe with hypel since since UCF, So I thought he played well. Nico is gonna be great, just just be honest. I mean, it's it's I thought this was there's some good stuff. It wasn't overwhelming, likest at Georgia. It was Georgie's a rarity with how much they had Carson play and how much had Carson throw. Most springs games aren't like that. Most spring games. Yeah, you're starting quarterback probably throws the ball ten to fifteen times. Yeah, LSU, Ohio State, you know Tennessee. Like these guys are in out, stay healthy and be done with it. So like, I don't know if you were going to get like a true game type feeling plus with Nico, just like Jalen, there's the dynamic of running that when it's game time, and we saw it in the bowl game that that is, that is that's gonna be one of his weapons. And it's hard to fully showcase that in a spring game when you're wearing a you know, a non contact jersey.

Okay, so help me out here. I want to get into uh. And by the way, as far as els, she goes, I don't know that I've found and I'm gonna I'm gonna maybe work through a film a bit more in depth tonight and see if I think there's anything worth it. I didn't see a ton, you know. I I think that, like I said, anything, nuss Meyer ended up with some crazy stateline like eight of eight or like one seventy couple of touchdowns. So the offense when when the ones were in there, did very well. But again, when you're talking about a defense like else, you have to have the efficiencies that it has. Uh, the fact that it's a spring game and you're trying to keep everything under wrap, so you're only running two coverages. They're not blitzing at all or barely at all. The offense should dominate, right Like the much more worrying thing would have been if Garrett nuss Meyer and that excellent line and those weapons would have struggled. They did not. But then again, I think most else you fans who are hoping to see something out of the defense, I don't think there was a ton there. But again, you bring in a coordinator like Blake Baker for strategy as much as anything else. Right, we talked about manufacturing matchups from a defensive side of the ball. How do you game plan? Right, That's something that Baker has been very good at making the most with what he has. You're not going to be able to do in a spring game where you're not game planning and you're just sending you guys one on one and so the other group is just better than you. Well they're going to look better than you for whatever it's worth. The two defense did beat the two offensive relishue, but not a ton to be seen there in my opinion. So before we get to Utah real quick in cameras, because I do want to go there, help me out with this. We were talking about this on my mortniture. We just touched on it a little bit at the end. How many Okay, in a twelve team playoff, we would say that guaranteed three teams are going to make it from the SEC yes, right, you could say four, You could say four maybe, but yeah, probably from the se three for the big ten, George's for sure gonna make it.

Yep.

So you he becomes interesting. Right after that, there's a log jam. Okay, Texas going to be in that mix. Olabama going to be in that mix. Alabama gonna be in that mix. LSU hoping to be in that mix. Tennessee, Aaron, are you putting them in that mix?

I'll put Tennessee in the mix.

Yeah, if you put Tennessee in the mix, do you put Miszoo in the mix?

Missouri?

Okay? And I think that's it probably right.

Yeah. I would say the teams, just to reiterate, kind of go through it again. Georgia, I think the lock of all of them.

Yeah, take George out, Georgia. We're giving George George just the three seeds. They have one of the three seeds.

Alabama, Texas, Ole, miss Missouri, Tennessee.

Alabama, Texas, all Miss, Missouri, Tennessee, and Elsia. So there you go. See see he says it. So we're talking sixth teams for two spots. Somebody's gonna be disappointed because for all miss it's playoff for busts. For Texas, it's playoff for busts. You gotta build off what you do with Sark last year. For Alabama, it's the same old, same ol We just mentioned how good they looked at the spring game. It is playoff or bust, and so like it's just a way of kind of showing this is going to be an incredibly competitive conference this next year. There's too many good teams and there's just not a lot of spots to go around. But because we now have a twelve team playoff, every fan base feels a bit entitled to one of those spots. I mean, hell, even if you get four teams in, you're still talking about three of these teams making it in three falling out. Yeah, And for my money, I mean I who would you put it? I would put Alabama at the top of the list, damn in terms of uh, right after Georgia, who I think will make the playoff.

See, I struggle with with one thing, because two of the teams have the easiest to the easiest schedules and in the SEC and to the easier schedules, I would say in Parafilenesse no Ole Miss and Missouri Ole Miss missoo okay, so two of our contenders have extremely gettable schedules and there's a big one. I'm trying. I'm I'm blanking on Ole Miss's schedule, but I just had Missouri a few weeks ago in their spring game, and I think a big one of the big ones against one of these contenders is Missouri does have to head to Alabama. They have a pretty light schedule, but I believe somewhere in the middle there, like game six or seven, they do go to Tuscaloosa, Like that could be one of those games that knocks one of them out and keeps on one in it. Between those two, obviously Alabama faces Lshes. Like there's all these games where a lot of these teams are going to be playing each other, but like from top to bottom with teams that are true content in the SEC, Missouri and Ole Miss both have I would say easier pass to get to that. I would say ten and two get you in. If you can go ten and two in the SEC, you're gonna be one of the twelve teams Ole Miss and Missouri. Even if Missouri loses Alabama, I think they can win ten games in their schedule.

So then okay, so so then you're saying so, but then that that's gonna leave Alabama at home. At that point, we're gonna put Ole Miss and Missouri in there. And you're saying Texas is gonna take setback. What if Texas doesn't go ten and two, that's gonna be a bitter disappointment.

Uh, missie, what's what's Alabama's schedule? Alabama? You know they gotta face Georgia at Tennessee, Missouri at LSU at Oklahoma.

Okay, that I mean to be fair? Ten and two feels pretty hard with that again, No.

No, but let's let's let's lilive it over to Missouri. Missouri's big games at A and M at Alabama versus Oklahoma, and then I mean, I'm gonna this is Missouri scheduled, and you can't tell me this doesn't sound like a ten and two schedule. Missouri State or Murray State, Buffalo, Boston College, Vanderbilt. Your first four games all at home, four and O at A and M. You know's that's gonna be a challenging game, but I'll give it to them five and oh at Massachusetts six and oh verse Auburn at home seven and oh at Alabama. Will say they lose that one at Alabama seven and one versus Oklahoma when that one eight and one, and then your last three games are at South Carolina at Missipi State versus Arkansas.

M I mean again, I don't really know how to make heads and tails of it. If I say I'm going, I mean, well, I mean what you know, I don't know that. I don't know. I mean it feels a little early for Miszoo for May maybe to just be chalking up auto wins to at A and m home against Auburn, Like there's some potential pitfalls. So potential pitfalls there went back to Uga, Texas and Bama. Let's not get carried away, Fellas. But then where's that legal miss? I mean again, Ole miss just did it two years in a row. Nothing fluky about what they did last sear and only got better over the offseason. They got interested in anybody.

I think all mission schedules easier than Missouri's firm and Middle Tennessee, Wake Forest, Georgia, Southern Kentucky, South Carolina LS She's the big one, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Georgia for Misssippi State.

If I had to choose my top four right now, to be clear, I actually have l s U near the bottom of this list. Yes, I think they are outside looking in UH in terms of playoff I got him in like the fifteen range in the country. I think UJA is definitely in. I don't think I I think I think I'm gonna put Alabama in there. And then for my third team, I think I'm in the goal. Miss I don't, I don't. I don't fully trust Texas and everything they're replacing anything. Their schedule is tougher.

I no, no, no, Texas's schedule is not tougher than Alabama's.

No, not tougher in Alabama's. But I think Alabama is better than Texas's just under Kaln de bor. I mean, all Kaln de Boor does does is beat Texas. UH the.

Texas in the place, Alabama, Georgia your top three, then I'll go Georgia Texas. I think Texas's schedule is is very gettable. I mean at Michigan, I think they'll beat Michigan, they get Georgia at home, and then the rest of the schedule is is I think, based on what they have talent wise returning, I think very very very doable to get the ten and two, if not better. So I think Georgia Texas UH will be over that kind of ten win threshold to get in, and then I'll put Ole miss As well.

Okay, so you think Alabama Tennessee NLC you to be left on the outside looking in and Missouri uh amma zoo. Yeah, it's tough, man. This is all. This is not an exercise as much in being right very difficult. It's just an exercise in showing what's actually at sake because during the spring portion of the season, everybody feels good. Everybody's ball, you know, like everything's going well. Darren Franklis is t I w you are on hash Texas is better than Alabama?

Are we?

I need to do some more studying on how Texas is going to replace their weapons and how they're going to replace Murphy and Sweat, because those are I mean, that was the strength of that team last year on both sides of the ball. And I know they've recruited well, but you lose Bo Davis on that D line. I wonder, I wonder I.

Nudge nudge is a good.

Pay And and also I should be clear, I'm also like favoring Bama here bec because I do still believe in Debor over Sark, even though I've I've come around on Sark, and like I said, more likely than not, I think Sark does work out and it is good for Texas. Long term, I would go to bor over Sark.

Yeah. I mean Georgia does have a tough schedule, Let's be honest, Like there there's I think we feel good that they can win at least one of the Big three, if not all three of them, you know, at Alabama, at Ole Miss, at Texas. But it's it's as was said in the chat, this is a healthy year in the SEC. Just imagine if it was nine conference games to seve eight.

Well, it should be sure that it's not. But ESPN's got to pay. That's not on the SEC. That's when ESPN you're not gonna give somebody free product, uh, if they're not gonna pay for said product. All right. And then the last thing I wanted to mention today. Uh, and this is gonna feel a bit random, little head jerky because we talked a little big ten with Ohio State. Uh, we talked a lot a lot of SEC and the log gym therein. But what about the Big twelve? Right, they still have their autobids and whatnot. It's a completely new conference. Losing Texas and Oklahoma and having others join, and one of the main teams join it would be Utah, who've in the Pac twelve power I would say over the last few years. Only now they don't have an organ that they have to deal with, they don't have a usc that they have to deal with. They're kind of the big dogs in the Big twelve arguably, and Cam Rising's back. Cam Rising played the entire spring game no restrictions. So in a very long road for Rising to get back here blowing out his knee in about eighteen different ways two years ago, sits here. It takes an entire year to get right, and it just the timing of it could not be better, Aaron. When you think about Kyle Whittingham and his team and last year, maybe nobody in the country dealt with more injuries than did Utah, not just the Cam Rising but as a whole. At one point, I think they had twenty something players on there too deep that were out and they were still pretty good. So when I look at a Big twelve that doesn't have a superpower, I think about Cam Rising as an uber experience, like eighteen year senior that's thirty years old and and his body is fresh and he's fully healthy. Uh, I think Utah is the team to beat in the Big twelve and my extension, Utah going to be in the College Football Playoff.

Now you have one of the most experienced quarterbacks coming back. I don't know if I'm going to crown him as the most talented quarterback, obviously with shadur in the conference as well, but I would say this, like, you have the best coach in the conference. Cal Winningham is by far the best coach in the Big Do you just call it the Big now? Is it the Big twelve? Big twelve? Think?

I think we're back to twelve teams. I can't remember. I get so confused one two, five, But yeah.

I mean it's hard not to feel good with him back if he can stay healthy. Col Winningham's your head coach that I would expect they would be the preseason favorite for most publications. When they start rolling out the summer.

I mean, yeah, like who is like Kansas State loses Will Howard, but I guess they would still be challenging for that crown. I guess you could never count out Oklahoma State, right, regardless of how much we ignored Gundy all offseason, He's always right there. Cincinnati's did awful year one in the Big Twelve, so that's nothing. Kansas is a riser for sure at Lancelipold everything he's doing there. But yeah, I mean so probably what Kansas, Kansas State, Oklahoma State, Utah would be at the POP and I'm not putting Colorado though in terms of actually threatening for the conference. It's just like West Virginia, who was sneaky good last year, should have won. Yeah, ye too, should Actually West Virginia should have been seven and two in the Big Twelve last year and one team games if not for the Hail Mary loss against Houston. I still am not a long term Neil Brown believer, but as we're talking Big Twelve, maybe we shouldn't mention that. But yeah, I like the Utes and Cam rising UH to win that conference with you.

If I had to pick one today, one hundred percent going with U Tah. Yeah, what a great live show today. We appreciate on our first solo show minus the boss Man. Yeah, we got over tune of people active hit that like a subscribe. Appreciate everyone joining us as we continue to UH to build the channel.

Yes, absolutely, I forgot kJ Jefferson's at UCFP, Emilson's bounce back here for TCU and Sonny I'll have to do more research. Here's my problem with TCU. And I said it going into the year last year, and I know it was very fun celebrating Sonny Dikes and celebrating TCU two years ago. But if you look at Sonny Dyke's resume, the Natty year is still the exception of the rule. Right. This last year fits in is way more in keeping with what he has generally done.

But they hit the portal well a year ago, and I'm I'm drawing a blank and how they did this year in the portal, But well, they hit it well, they do it money, I know, which was like, which, no, what I'm saying, Which gave I think a lot of not of horn Frog fans like the thought of like, Okay, we may not get back to the National Championship, but maybe we don't take as big of a fall because we do have the funds. We did go out there and do I would say, pretty exceptional in the transfer portal, just it didn't translate to as many wins as I was expecting at least they would have.

No, I mean, they finished three and six in the Big twelve and what were they overall? Five and seven?

Yeah?

Five and seven. So I don't know. TC has traditionally been a very good program, but I would not bet on bounce back quite yet.

Personally. All right, I'm getting killed by all Brooks' fans in the past week.

Yeah, why yeah, why are you so? Why are you afraid?

I'm not afraid to throw it back against him at all? She feel really good.

I gotta be honest again. Brooks talked a big game, even texted me a video of him throwing that he thought was tight, and he had one go route that was pretty well thrown. But I accused Aaron of having a little flutter on on the ball. Uh Brooks's out route. I mean, you could have fucking started a campfire underneath him by the time he got to the receiver, like it was nod even look for the chech that.

I got a lot of. He posted a picture of me from the spring game, and I got a lot of like people coming like choochless, choochless.

I'm like, you're straight up dickless. Now, thanks for gotten across the damn.

Make me like enemy number number one in the streets right now in Georgia.

Uh Tiger Beckwood says, remember when Texas blew a hole in burrows Jersey before the game, that Burrow murdered him on the field. I do that was who it's an old time Oh this is interesting?

What what what if did you not see the comment? Oh?

If Brooks wins the contest, can team I'm not getting a stupid haircut. I would look, I would fucking love not to cut my hair.

Well, then tea boy means like double down and then go fuck that haircut plus the mustache. If I do win, if you if you want to put that on the line, no can beat me. No you don't want to get your haircut and put it on the line.

No, I don't want to get my haircut. But you know what I'm gonna do. I'm gonna fucking do it for the people. Okay, I'm gonna do for the people. It's a lesson in vanity, like I said, and and trying to not be to behold into such earthly things. But but it is not gonna be till around May eleventh, somewhere around there that week. So yeah, Jude says, too much hype on the haircut, just go get it this way. I mean, way too much hype, way too much fucking building. I'm just gonna show up and it's just gonna be like a normal haircut. You're like, what the fuck this is so stupid. We built this up for fucking eighteen hey, eighteen years. Shut the fuck up. Andy J. Says, Remember when Tennessee swept LSU baseball? Yeah, Aaron, I don't know. You don't give a shit about college. A sow. We love around these parts. LSU's off to a three and twelve sec start. Wow, after coming off the Natty last year. Wow, it's bad around here right now, Bo, it's bad. And yeah, Tennessee did sweet than this weekend. So hey, foo you Andy.

Love seeing everybody start to show up their summer bods, both male and female. The peacockying and kind of body measuring that goes on at an adult pool with a bunch of kids rolling around is just fantastic, kind of watching everybody side eye one another about who's been putting that work. In Southern Oaks Athletic Club is where I go here in br so Hell. Yeah, Joey Williams, you know, what do you guys think of the new little Alabama go Look, I had very hard things to say about Alabama. I thought it was fantastic.

Look very physical.

Bathing suits and cover butts anymore at all? That's true for the youngins at the mom and dad pool. We're still dealing. Yeah, we're still dealing with some broad bottoms.

Unfortunately.

No, there's a couple you know this, maybe Sharon.

Sharon got in trouble when we when we first started dating, she came to my club. I got a little notice like, Hey, if you're gonna bring girls, you have to make sure they cover up a little bit more. Oh damn.

Okay, Sharon that how he she got you back in the day.

Yeah, or she's just trying to find some other sugar daddy. I don't know.

But well, I mean, admittedly she's a powerful lawyer and you're a washed up, recently fired podcast host.

That's true. Thank god she kicks ass.

Thank god for mean coins. You know, for sure, where would we be?

I don't know. I don't know what would be right now? All right?

Uh yeah, Bilbo wants picks of the outfit that got her in trouble. That's on the Patriot. You go to Patreon, doat cops, I snapped CFB and that's you get raped.
