Pete discusses his decision to join the military and his experiences in Afghanistan, Iraq, and Guantanamo Bay. After attending Princeton, Hegseth joined the military in 2001. The September 11th attacks motivated him to serve in the infantry. Hegseth describes his own experiences in combat and reflects on how they have changed his perspective.
