Spreading In with Becca Tilly and Tanya rad and I Heart Radio and two time People's Choice Award winning podcast. Okay, so hello everybody. I'm gonna start this one off because um I'll explain the situation. So it is ten o two pm on Saturday evening. We sat down to start the podcast at five pm with our Sabrina Carpenter interview. Becca, would you like to explain what happened earlier? Well, it seems as though when you're in the pool and you're drinking, you don't realize how much the drinks are affecting you until you get out of said pool and then walk to start a podcast. No, first of all, it was not just the drinks and the pool. It was we're in a hundred nine degree heat. And we also only had like chips in guacamole and a croissant, so I have to muffin Eminem's pistachios chips and gualk and French fries. But the problem was the six to seven spicy margaritas that I had in the pool, so I didn't even feel the heat that you speak of. Oh, I don't know, I think Anyways, they were delicious, by the way, the spicy margaritas were divine with Villa Via Royal, Villa Royal. I think it's Via Royal Royal, California. It's great, it's been great. They're they're wonderful. I love this hotel. I feel very safe here. I feel safe enough to drink seven six to seven. I think that's the problem is like we've all been quarantined, we haven't been doing anything, and then like we come here and we feel like we're on I mean, we are on vacation, and so we kind of went back to so we did what we did and we come back to the room. I don't remember the walk from the pool too. Said room to start the interview, and uh, I y'oll will have to remind me of what happened. And I share my perspective because easily sober. Yeah, I saw everything I'm told. I am fully sober. Um. I was told to come to Tanya's room at uh you know, at five o'clock. We had it, we had interview schedule, and I showed up with my little kid with my gear and knock on the door and I hear I can't even get up. That was yes, it was your Danielle. I was like van rough to a grade start. Someone crawled towards the door and let me Becca Tilly was showing off some amazing yoga positions. Yes, you were downward dog. I saw Child's post. Maybe, Um, yeah you were. You were in rolling around the floor over here, and I'm like, I have to put a microphone in front of your face. Now, I'm sorry. So now that you speak of this, it was like ten till five. Easton comes by the pool because hey, are we still doing the podcast at five? I think that's what you said. It was like seeing a ghost of Easton above me, with like the clouds and the sun behind him. I was like, Easton to you, So I come back. We go to Tanya's room, man Danyelle. Tanya answers, but oh my god, that's not scary all over. I'm too drunk to know what's happening. Help me understand, So I just let you guys in. But I had, like I got my period, so I had a massacre that I needed to clean up. So I was like, can you guys get ready set up the podcast while I clean myself. Oh that's what happened, correct, So that's where we were when you come in and I said, we said we can't move. Whoever it was, I can't confirm if it was me or not, or to saye or to say so we did the interview with Sabrina Carpenter. I UM, I don't feel like it was my most professional moment, so it was just a learned lesson. I feel like I was pretty aware through most of it. Y'all can correct me if I'm wrong, But towards the end it really Beca's giving me like the the wrap up underneath the table, and I was like, what's happening? And then all of a sudden, Becca just floats out of frame. She just like goes down out of the frame, and I'm like, we were on a zoom call, and I just I saw myself like in easing out and E's and I leaned towards you, and see you lean towards me, and you pulled the head phones off and you move the mic away and you're like, yeah, I killed her mic and then you're like I'm gonna throw I'm like, uh, and so you know, the show must go on. So I'm just like watching all this going down on the ride of me while I'm still trying to talk to Sabrina on the zoom it text Alison, I'm like, you gotta get an ice bucket or something. Yeah, all of a sudden, there's an ice bucket in front of me. I'm like, is this a miracle? An ice bucket on the floor next to me? Alison? What an angel? Of course, of course it was. I don't know if if showing you this is gonna be helpful or would you take photos? I have video of the entire thing, but Becca was out of frame. She watching her go out of frame is pretty She just slowly sinks down. I just knew that I wasn't able to be like productive in the conversation. So I don't know if anyone will over this will never see the light of day. But but it is like holding it together. Yeah, well, I like look, and then Tony the consummate broadcaster is staying staying to the camera, listening to Sabrina Carpenter tell a very touching story. Yeah you'll hear later in the show. Yeah, yeah, yeah, we will definitely play back this interet. Yeah, I'm really and then like, my god, we have to post this. It's just not Sabrina, but the r right side of it. Yeah, yeah, and then it's happening and looks over at me, So now you can see me. I'm kicking Red Star under the table. I'm like kicking him because he's sitting across from me, like I'm making eye contact. I'm telling him to like take care of you, Like I literally was kicking him and pointing to to have him. And then I think we could probably probably walks by at some point, he does you see some people coming for help with like box of the Allison runs in and out, uh and and got Sabrina Carpenter. She continues on like it's normal, say I love Sabrina Carpenter, like just as a human before this today, I'm like that girl probably knew that something was going on, and she's just like, I'm just gonna keep going because I'm a professional. Oh my gosh, that is so good. So you just see me trying to hold it together, and then I fade out and then I saw I saw a Red Star behind you, rubbing your face. All of a sudden, Alison brings me an ice bucket. Red Star is rubbing my back, comforting me, saying he's in the same boat. But he definitely was not in the same boat because he was not puking while trying to do an interview for a podcast, so he yeah, he never really held it together. So yeah, I come to everyone's gone. I don't know what happened. You slept a little and then you ate some pizza. I did order some gatoray, pulled it together, took a shower, and here we said, it's time, let's do it. Let's do it. So you guys are actually here with us Saturday night, ten pm. It's like a slumber party. Yeah, and sure we could have just pretended like this didn't happen, but we thought why why why hide? Why hide? Why hide? It's just the reason A reminder, Just so y'all know, I literally have maybe had a glass of wine at the most since quarantine started. Well that's why I think. I think that's what the problem was. Like, you haven't drink all the quarantine. I've been drinking like a fish. So you're just set. I mean yeah, yeah, So my body's like, um, pardon me, excuse, beg your pardon. What's happening? This is too much. While I was in the pool, so I was like, maybe these drinks aren't strong. I think these are water down, but they definitely are not. You want to shout out Tanya's fortitude for making this happen tonight, because you know, after after this all goes down, we're like, we killed the recording, We're like, okay, what are we gonna do? And the plan was to do it tomorrow morning, and then tis like, no, we're doing it tonight. We're gonna do it tonight. Yeah, I felt I felt strong about doing it tonight. Is there's a different vibe when we do it at night versus like, I feel like if we did it tomorrow, we'd all be like hungover and tired and then like leaving, which is like sad. Truth or drink is still going to happen though, right, So it's gonna be It's gonna be truth or drink. But tonight, for reasons we have mentioned before, it will be true truth or smell, and the the repercussions of not answering your question will be smelling tequila, which to me is equally as bad as drinking. Yeah, it's pretty bad. It's just safer for my intestines, correct and just like body, body and mind. So yeah, I mean it's neither, it's all. It's bad so wait, can I just tell you guys what happened um when we came on our way down here yesterday? Please? So yeah, yeah, So we came down here Friday night and I texted Chris Harrison because they're they've been in Palm Springs for the Bachelorette filming. So I was like, oh, do you have any good recommendations out there for dinner? We're coming up for dinner, you know, boh bla, And he knew we were coming to Palm Springs, so he sends me this restaurant. He's like, yeah, this place is great, like romantic, great, Italian food. Great. Cool. It wasn't the address, Like I was clicking the link and nothing popped up except for the phone number. So I call them, Hey, can we make her dinner dinner reservation tonight at six thirty? Yeah? Great? Great. So we get to the hotel and we like check in and we're like already like fifteen minutes late. So Red Star calls him and he's like, we're gonna be like we'll be there at seven, okay. So then we're like all dressed up ready to go. He get in my car and with the address in and it's two hours back to l A. Because it was a restaurant out by his house, so he knew they were coming to Palm Springs. I think you forgot when I said out there, I think he meant like out of l A in Malibu or whatever. I was like, oh yeah. So we just took a quick to our drive back to l A and then came back to Palm Springs. So that's where, yeah, just to go honestly, yeah, yeah, when we go back to town, we really need to go. Not me. I stopped at raising canes. I waited for like forty five minutes in that drive thru. It was packed. It was so worth it. Though I haven't had canes since this quarantine started. It's really devastating, I know. And if I had been it was an hour you know, I have I have standards for my canes, and so if I would have brought it an hour away, it would not have reached, you know, to me personally, what it would be fresh out right. So I got here, they walked, They gave me a welcome shot at tequila. Honestly, shout out to the Via Royale because they from the moment I got here, it's been a good time because they were like, he goes, would you like a shot of tequila? Climb shot of tequila? Said why not, I've been drinking about three months. Give me the hard stuff. I have a mask on, mind you because I'm at the front, and I'm like, do you want me to take it now or wait till I get to my room, and he goes, you can take it now, take it now. I forgot the shock of taking a shot, so some of it spills down into my mask. It was a mess. And then I said, give me three spicy marks to my room please, because the bar was about to close and you and Red Star we're about to get back. So I thought we can have a we have like a joint jacuzzi situation and the two of them, honestly, do you know how much you know how much that bless is my heart? Like nothing makes me happier than my boyfriend and my best friend in like one Uh yeah, yeah, we do have boundaries, just that why I but she referred to as a snug Fest and I was like, um, I don't know what that means. Snug city. You said snug fast, snug fast, and I was like, I don't know what that means, and she goes, you know what that means, and I still I still to this moment. Don So we did a virtual meet and Great this morning with some of our scrubbers. It just actually so much fun. It was really fun. You know, it's hard because right now we we would love to be like meeting everyone and hugging everyone on live tour, like the live shows are so fun. So part of me was like, you know, this is gonna be hard to bring the energy, but you'all always just show up. And it was just fun and that we did it for two hours and it flew by. It flew by. Yeah, I wish I would have gone longer. Probably would have saved me, could have saved me, could have saved you. I actually have also a very funny story that happened in the shower here, but I'm scared it's not going to land. Okay, well let's see. Okay, Okay, So, so, uh, Red Star and I were in the shower and correct and um there's three day Front bottles in the shower. Okay, so there's one that says, are you do you know what I'm talking about? I think I do. One of them says shampoo, which is the shampoo. One of them says body wash and the other one says Creme rins. Okay, so which what do you think is the like what's the difference? And so I go the body wash is like soap, like just like liquid soap, and the Creme Fresh is like the creamy soap like the doves. He thought it was the funniest thing. He literally couldn't stand in the shower. He had like literally sit down. He's laughing. So because I was so convinced, and I was like, this is like this liquidy soap and this is like the milky stuff. There's no condition there's no conditioner. Both soaps just slightly different consistency exactly. Yeah, the creamy or regular right right right, So I've been enjoying a Creme Rence body, so you're just smooth with conditioner, smooth the whole body. Yeah, it's like it's peanut butter like creamy soapen chunky. Yeah. I was like, how chic is this hotel? We're in a living room right now. But it didn't even I didn't even skip a beat, Like I was like, oh, yeah, of course that's what it is. I just like that you didn't just use you know, you know this thing your head right and say like, uh, yeah, we have shampoo. There must be a conditioner. You know, this is pre Margarita. This is like smack in the middle of no. This was like pre am Wow, yeah, crime Rence is a conditioner for everyone. F y I when that spoiler alert. Yeah, so I'm the seventh wheel here this weekend, which is cool. I don't mind it. I just looked around and I was like, uh, Tanny and Red Star like men all, you know, honeymoon stage, East and Alison. I feel like we're still in a honeymoon stage. You all been married for how long? Three years, but together for a lot longer long time. Yeah, well, thank you. I'm glad that we exude the honeymoon. Yeah. Yeah, yeah, y'all feel like And then John and Danielle also together. So I was just looking around. I was weirdly sitting in between everybody. So my favorite thing put me on the end, which was nine. My favorite part is why is not here is because of the heat. I wanted to ask if it was appropriate, and I was like why, So I asked, and the heat was clearly a problem. So I asked my sister, my youngest drink and she was kind of like, I don't really feel confident being like a Muslim suit all weekend and blah blah blah. And I was like, I'm getting out a free trip to Pop Springs. What's the problem. So I was like, forget you all. I'm just going I'm gonna have I'm gonna be single, live my freedom, well not really not single strength. Yeah, so that was the extent of my you know, getaway, I had to get away. I listened to podcasts on my way up. I uh, it was good. It felt good. I feel like you and Red Star had some bonding. But yeah, he he runned in my back while I was barking into I fucking But then yeah, it was actually nice because I felt very comforted. And then we had like pizza and gatorade. It was like good and he tried to comfort me and say he was in the same boat, but doesn't he have about like comforting feeling like I'll actually never like it actually made me love him more. When I had my food, like actually was super sick, and the way that he was comforting me through it was just like I was so emotional, but I just had no feeling in me, it's like express it at the time. Yeah, I felt like a daddy taken care of me. Yeah, no it was. It was nice. I felt very taken care of. But where daddy's just like there's nowhere we're it feels comfortable. So it like always makes something feel a little bit uncomfortable. Zaddiddy said, um, okay, so we're gonna let y'all hear there's a wonderful, amazing interview with Sabrina Carpenter. But amazing. I support anything she does, and to be honest in my mind, knowing that I couldn't articulated, I wanted to talk to her about that movie To Hate You Give, because she had a big role in that as like, you know, the kind of like typical unaware white girl and so applicable to the times that we're in and I wish I could have had that conversation with her. But next time, I'm sure she'll be back if she you know, it's so gracious. But uh so we're gonna get to that and then we will be back. But before before we get into that, we got to talk more about Villa Royale. They're so great there. So this is a resort in Palm Springs, California. Uh. They're set at the foot of the San Jacinto Mountains. Am I saying that right? San Ya Sinto Sanya Cinto Mountains. This place is it's it's like a trip back in time. I mean, it's this beautiful property. There's three freaking pools. Uh. The other thing I love is that there's like these giant murals of like classic stars of Hollywood all over the place, Like I saw on the website. There's like tattooed Lucile Valan Desi Ernaz. I love them. The vibe is here, everything's very like aesthetically aesthetically aesthetically pleasing. And then I do also have to shut out the food. Oh my god, so amazing. Enough about the spicy marks. But here's the thing, Like we're sitting in a living room and one of the is this considered a bungalow or one of the like giant sweets were in a very nice room. But I'm looking at the walls and all the details and it's just so well done and so cute, and it just has a vibe that you want to come with either your your best friend or your significant other and have like a weekend getaway. Yeah, from everybody. And also everybody's very like socially distant. I feel like everybody's very aware and like keeps their space when they're by the pool, which I really like, and like checking in. Even we we get to the check in and there's like, you know, plexic glass. Everyone's wearing a mask. The dude who checked us in, he takes my key and he puts it in his magic box. Yeah that antibacterialized, like blasted with UV and stuff. And he's like nothing, and I'm like, can I just put my whole body in there? Yeah? It's very cool. Everything is super safe. Everyone's wearing masks. Uh. Yeah, this this place, like the bikes for us to use. We just want on a bike ride. Yeah. I loved the Royal d Yeah. I mean they give you a welcome shot when you get here. It really is, to be honest, it was the first I kind of had this moment of just actual glee because it was the first feeling of normalcies since all this, because it was like going away from l A, coming to a hotel, which is something I do, something I do with my friends in this summer, and I don't know, it's just been so nice and something I really needed without even realizing how much I needed. Yeah, so shout out come playing the Desert Fund. Visit their website that's via Royale dot com, Royal with any at the end for a special summer promo package, and following on Instagram while you're at it via Royale Underscore Palm Springs, stay in the loop on everything. Yeah. Actually I was here. When I was here a few weeks ago, a couple of my friends saw like the stuff I was posting and they actually came like a week or two after and had the best time. No, I've had so many friends that have come here. Um, so I had wanted to come here since you did. I had other friends Amanda and Andy came and I was like, I want to go to this place. It's so cute and so um. Yeah truly, I feel like all of us sitting here couldn't recommend it more. Yeah. So check him out, um and we will be back with Sabrina Carpenter. Nothing makes me happier than welcoming our guests into the o R. Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome Sabrina Carpenter. This is the second time Sabrina Carpenter has scrubbed in with us. I love scrubbing in. It's my favorite thing to do. We love when you join us in the o R. It's very special for us. Um. When we found out that you were going to be our guests for the Palm Springs episode, it was even it was like, it makes sense, it makes sense, all right now, I'm so mad. So we are in Palm Springs and I want to apologize to Sabrina Carpenter because I had a situation of sorts. What kind of situation the situation that happens to females once a month a period? Not only not only was it a period, it was a period of sorts. What does that exactly mean? For those who don't are you ok? I'm okay, Um, When you're in a hotel, there are white linen's and things involved a little bit of a situation. So I'm not one to leave situations unattended. So I wanted to, hey, you know what we do, we gotta do, especially there's there's no shame anymore, not in this. I don't care. There's no shame. I was just talking to someone saying, there's no like if something happens in it's like of course, of course, why wouldn't this happen right now? Yeah, there's no no shockers anywhere really, but but it's good. I'm good. We got that under control though. Yeah, she's here, so that's all that matters. I'm here, so I apologize for my tardiness. You know that us Sabrina knows of all people, I am not tardy to any party ever, ever, ever. Ever. I was like, well, I don't know, I haven't been to a party since the late eighties. It's been a minute, so I don't really remember. But but definitely I feel like we've always Yeah, I'm very like much a prompt person, like I find it hard to be late for things, which is why this last year my New Year's resolution was to start being ten minutes late two things. Why just ten minutes though, because it's enough that people don't think that your disrespect fool but like they and that you could have just like been stuck in a little bit of traffic. But the thing is is like whenever I would get places on time, everyone was always like not ready for me or been like oh wow, you're you're you're so you know, I'm just working on a few more things and then we can get started, and I'll be like, but then, why not said it for for ten minutes later? You know, So I'll just get there ten minutes later and do you a favor, give you a little extra room to breathe, and then yeah, and then I'm the complete opposite of you. I show up late, hoping that they expect me to be late. So um, your promptness makes me feel like I'm not doing the right thing. Wait, no, it's not true. That's not true. Way I want to talk to you, because um, last time, last time we spoke. So today is Saturday. Your movie is officially out on Netflix. It is out, so work at everybody is on Netflix. Did you have any sort of like, so Sabrina has like a backyard projector you know, like one of those fancy situation. Did you get to screen it or did you get to watch it with anybody? Did you get to have some sort of premier party? I did. My family was all here and we basically just like ordered a bunch of pizza and um and watch it on my my big projector outside, which was so much fun because it just like it was just like blasting throughout you know, the skies and the movie. The movie is puts you in such a good mood. Um. I definitely like had wanted to and hoped that I could be with my cast on the day of the release. But we all did a big zoom toast. There was like literally twenty of us on a zoom and we all just like had our drinks and then had a dance party dance to Missy Elliott and that was really fun. Um. And then and then the movie came out and we all got to watch it separately at home with our families and we all FaceTime each other, so it was it was really really sweet. Um. And now it's out and I'm someone told me it's number one in the US, which is really exciting, and I'm just like I'm just like literally still at home, like it's been six months. I'm still that's so wild, Like it's so wild to me, like the world that like, so let's just say this wasn't quarantine and this was just we were just like normal life, like you would have a proper premier, you would do the whole situation. Now everything is so different, Yeah it is, but but we make do with it. And I think the nice thing is how supportive and and um forward thinking everybody's been in this time obviously to have to make do with what we're all going through and and make the most out of it. I mean, like it sounds silly, but like making all these videos from home or getting to zoom people from home, and and bringing light to people's day in that kind of way when they feel like they can't escape like a physical area that they're in, so they have to find other ways to mentally escape that. Um and and you know, movies and music and seeing a little things that bright in your day are very helpful. So it's been it's been cool to to be able to contribute to that. Did you do the thing? And I told you so. When Sophia's movie came out, we did like a fake not like it was a fake premiere, but we like stood in front of TV and we were like, all right, and now here's one of the stars, Sophia Carson. Each um I made I made a big old toast before the movie started and just gave everybody kind of like a rundown um about what they're about to watch. And my grandma like again, like she loves this movie so much, so she was just like living because now she has captions and it's great and she knows he's actually going on. Um, and yeah, it was so much fun. I mean, like again, it's any time that we can have like a reason to celebrate during these times, it's like a really fun thing. So so that was Yeah, I was gonna say, anything that we can celebrate is in it's like an exciting moment, like we're all no one takes it for granted. If we're able to celebrate something that's like new and exciting and different from what we've been doing. Yeah, yeah, no, it's it's it's been very special and the reaction has been amazing so far. I don't really know how to use TikTok, but I guess I'm gonna have to learn because honestly, I've seen so many TikTok's made from this movie. Yeah cute, that's amazing. There's a whole challenge right now. It's it's called the can you work at challenge? And so the girl um that made the Renegade dance basically created a dance and choreographed to dance for my song let the movie UM. And so it's a it's a challenge that you know, the movie and Netflix are kind of taking the lead on and um yeah, I've just seen so many videos, like all day, I've just been watching people dance to it, which is so much fun. Um so, so that's great. I'm gonna expect yours, I guess by tonight. Help. I love your dancing videos, Tanya, every time you dancing around like a kitchen or living room. So happy, Thank you, Sabrina. You know you know I am not a dancer of sorts, but you know, Brad and I like to keep it funky. I'm sorry, what are you drinking? What is that? So it is? What is the espresso? Um? Yeah, I hate espresso. I really. It tastes like dirt. It tastes Yeah, it tastes like because I try to love it too, because I love things that feel European. I want that for myself. I want that, you know estate. It doesn't, but I pretend I'll fake it till I make it, you know, not in more ways than one. Wait, we were just talking about this the other day because you obviously so your movies out now on Netflix, and normally, pre pandemic, you would be traveling, going like all over the to promote your movie. But now you're doing it all from your home. So are you just like call, like, how many interviews do you have tonight after us? Oh my gosh, well today today is actually like pretty the day off, I guess, besides you guys, which it's still a day off when I'm talking to you guys. Um. But but truthfully, yeah, I mean the last two weeks have been there was one day where I think I did seventy interviews in one day. Um. And because because it's sort of like when you do a press junket, you know, they're bringing people in and out for like five to ten minute interview, summer twenty minutes and then summer our challenges and fun games and things like that. Um. And because it's a dance movie, boy, they expect a whole lot from a cast like us. They're just they're there's like dance monkey, you know, it's like literally like a dance movie, right, dance and we're just like we did it, like watch it right right, like we're done. Um. So yeah, I mean that's that's been fun at the same time as it's been like exhausting to look at his screen for that long and look at myself in that screen. You know when your face timing people, like, you're looking at yourself of the time, I'm tem percent you're looking at the person your face timing with, unless you're infatuated with them and can't get enough of the way that they look, then you're looking. That's where I'm at. I just keep looking at him. I'm like, that's what we wanted for Tonya, we wanted That's great. That makes me really happy. But definitely like it's it's so funny, like I'm so sick and tired of like seeing my face on a zoom, which I'm on right now, but like I'm looking at you guys, because I'm infatuated with you right right, We're infatuated with you two, So it's reciprocated. It really is. Like actually, like, so we talked the other day and I honestly before that, I feel like I hadn't seen you in like a year or two, and I love you so much. It makes me actually kind of sad. But you've been like crushing it and the amount of work that you do is actually insane. Some would say that, let's say my friends. My friends also tell me that, so like I feel like it's it's it's really nice when you when you can finally, um, you know, put those things out into the world and celebrate and say goodbye to them and let them be for everybody else. And um, you know obviously, like it really doesn't take much for me to to want to do what I do because it literally is just so much fun. Like when I when I get to be involved in things that are like passion projects, and you know, it making like it's always felt like that because it's always a passion project when I get to create something that I am envisioning and something that makes me really excited. Um, but especially when I get to do a film or a TV show that uh feels like there there are a lot of work to make, you know what I mean. Like it's really long hours. It's really like guling rehearsals. It requires a lot of focus. It requires, like you know, also a lot of being present, and sometimes it's not so easy to be present when there's so many things happening outside of your job and your personal life or just out in the world that we're all focused on that are kind of like trying to get in your head at all times. Um, And you want to do the best that you can do. I think during the filming of this movie, I experienced, uh, quite quite a bit of loss in a very extreme way, and I didn't know how I was actually going to get through filming the rest of the movie because I felt very lost and then very uninspired and and obviously it's this very lighthearted, fun, upbeat film that I I was really scared to have to go to set and like have to almost put on something that felt very inauthentic. I didn't realize you were filming this movie while that happened. Yeah, yeah, it was. It was like smack dab in the middle. And so I just give so much credit to like my cast and crew forgetting me through that, because they like knew what I was going through and very much in every way shape and form were there for me. Were very understanding. But also like and and obviously like things happen and life does keep going in a word way even though you don't want it to all the time and you don't want to believe that it does. Um. But but that was definitely like a big, big moment for me to realize that. And uh, and so I'm it makes my heart very warm that like the movie did turn into what it turned into is still such a source of light for people because I know that, Um, I know that that's what you know that the people that I've lost and the people that other people have lost would would want, um a little bit more of in the world. Yeah, I mean, just anything that represents positivity and like growth in learning, I think anyone's we need it. So I didn't realize that. I think also, you know, it's interesting because I feel like it's a subject that people don't really talk about. And I was reading this book, the Lady Game Book, and this girl back a Tobin, who I consider a friend more friendly, um, And so I was reading this book and I had never realized that this man she was about to marry he passed away right before they were about to be engaged. And she talked about that loss, and and it was so like I felt so connected to her, but also like so, um, it was such an interesting conversation in the book that she had with herself because nobody really talks about that stuff, you know what I mean. It's like we all experience it in very different ways. And I know that you experienced it last year. Um, And it's it's something that people don't really talk about and it's very traumatizing, and the fact that you were having to make this movie while also dealing with that is pretty incredible. It was indeed an incredible life experience and I'll never forget it. I mean, obviously, it's it's very much something that I think things like that end up turning you into like the person that you become, because it really is like how you deal with with losses and people coming in and out of your life and having to like move on and actually um grow and find yourself in new communities and different uh, different hobbies that you pick up. I mean, it's it's it's such a big part of what builds your character and what builds your strength and um, you know again, it's it's this whole last year though, I mean, and then we go into this year, which was just like a question mark, like I don't know what's going on with you relax with your microphone. It's seriously, it's I relate to that because it's like, no matter what you do, every like every week, there's been something new that you're like, this is a big deal. I need to process that. I need to educate myself, like it feels it's felt like that. Absolutely, it's been very enlightening though in a lot of ways, and also like we've had the time to like really sit with our thoughts and our opinions and take the time to have really really interesting conversations with people. Um. I've also been talking to my family, like my cousins and my sisters, like about just like the fact that you know, there's there's certain people that I know that I haven't really talked to you throughout all of this. And I don't know if that's like saying something or if it's just like that's what happens in life with some people grow apart. But but what is it saying about the people that have really consistently remained in my life even though I haven't physically seen them in the last six months. And the conversations that we've been having, and it's been it's been so much learning, which is which is really good at any point in your life. It's great to learn, but especially right now, it feels very overwhelming. How are your sisters and your mom? They're so good? I mean, we I was just I was just swimming today, which was really nice, and I took my dog in the pool. He hates swimming. Everyone's everyone's trying to like do their best to just enjoy um life. Good thing that I mean, the good things that we can enjoy and spending a lot of time with each other and you know, making making light out of things for sure, but they're good. I would tell me say, hi, yeah, please do I miss them? Yeah we missed. We missed Sabrina on tour. I'll say that much. Ye, Sabrina miss Sabrina on tour. It's so funny because there's a moment um. There's a moment and work it towards the end of the movie, which you'll see when you when you watch that, it is like such an obvious switch between Quinn, the character I play in the movie and then like stage Sabrina. Yeah. Yeah. And my my hairstylist Scott today he watched it and he was like, oh my god, I just I just saw Sabrina, Like it was very very obvious that you like missed being on stage and like the second year put on the stage, it just like turned on and I was like, oh, I miss that so much. Has has this changed to the way that you think about like touring or anything like that. M hmmm, it's an interesting question. Probably not other than just taking more precaution and being safe, Like I mean, I don't think you can never be too safe and you can never be too aware, um of just like in general or health. Um, but I was always super health conscious even before this, because being on the road made it so much more likely that that I could, you know, get sick or catch something, and and the last thing I ever wanted to do is cancel the show. Um. So, so it's definitely like hasn't changed it, And if anything, it makes me so excited to be able to go back to concerts because I just know that it's something that like, now that we don't have it, like, hopefully we're all like going to appreciate those things that much more when we do. I think that a lot of artists are having interesting conversations right now just about like what the future looks like intense of touring, touring. I'm not too worried. I'm not too worried about touring. Oh my gosh, my neighbors are really enjoying their day. Um, I can hear them them. No, Um, it hasn't changed the way I've thought about it. Other than like I think, unfortunately, like there will be some changes made. I don't know what those will be yet. Um, but at this point, like I'm just so excited for whenever it can happen again. I'm so excited to go to my friend shows. I'm so excited to put on my own and um yeah, I mean there's so much that comes with touring too that makes it all that more like an incredible experience. And you know this by like going on the bus for people and just living that lifestyle. It's like, it's so weird to be living that lifestyle so consistently and then just all of a sudden not not living it anymore. I know. But you know what, we are very excited for you to be back on tour. Um, we cannot wait to watch work it on Netflix. Everybody check it out. Sabrina Carpenter. We love you so much, seriously, thank you for taking the time. Are you kidding me? Thank you guys for having me and your palm springs. Thank go sit by the pool. You know it's very hot outside. They're like, what Californ, very very hot outside. But we love you. Thank you so much for taking the time. Seriously, I love you guys, thank you so much for having me. We'll talk to you soon. All right. Bye. I love I really love Sabrina Carpenter. I do too. I'm gonna go home tomorrow when it's time to get my pj's and I'm gonna sit down and I'm gonna watch work it, work it, and then I'm gonna listen to let me move you because I love her, and I also, uh, I want to support everything she does. I really have like a very very deep love for her. And she's such a hard worker. That girl does not stop. Yeah, she's amazing. Um. Okay, so we're going to do truth or Smell Smell. Because we've drank based on earlier events, we've had to amend the game a little bit. So everyone knows the rules. You have to answer a question, but if you don't want to, you can just take a whiff of tequila. Who wants to go first? Does anyone volunteer? Or should I assign somebody? I'm going to go first because that way and you don't go last. Yeah, okay, all right, okay, here we go that you know, the Bachelorrettes filming right now and in here in Palm Springs. This is somewhat related. If Chris Souls, I'm assuming, would have picked you at the end of his season to keep dating you since you weren't ready to get engaged, how long do you think he would have lasted? I can answer that road. Well. The thing is that it would have been easy right off the bat because he went into Dancing with the Stars, so we would have been, you know, both in south southern California. But then once he moved back to Iowa, that probably would have been where things got tricky. Um, because I was not really in a place to move to Iowa. UM, I would have given it, like, I don't know, a year, what do you okay, rude, what were you gonna say? A month? Does? No? I would not. First of all, my ego would not have led me last a month. I probably would have lasted a year because I would have really tried to make it work despite the distance. But who knows. I mean, you know, the thing is, he didn't choose me, so it's not something I felt about a lot. Well, thank you for your honesty. Alight, oh man, the man. The man is sitting near me, So some of these questions, I'm nervous said, what I've been starting off light. I mean they're they're all yours are all heavy. Yeah, we tried to get you. Can you drink? I feel like you can take a shot right now. Excuse me just because I that yakking not close. Okay, okay, okay. Here here's here's one that's not read story centric. To start off. A house with Brad, Becca, and Ryan is on fire. The three the three of them are at a window reaching out for you to say. They know that. I hate answering these because I can't pick one. You could only save one. Who are you gonna say? Save one? Save Who's who's in here? You? Brad? Ryan? It seems like an obvious answer to me. I would, okay, here's what I do. Oh my god, you can only save one of them? I know, but that that is what a typical human could do, and I am untypical, a typical, not typical. I would pull out Ryan because that's my job, and then I would sacrifice myself and I would save you and Brad. This is an unacceptable answer because if you can only choose one with specifically um in the question, so it's either you take a whiff or you choose the obvious. I think I'm gonna go with Ryan. Sorry, I'm just you choose your job friend. You chose Phoebe over me. I did not I drink? Yes, I did, didn't I know I did. She just chose her job over Ryan. What has Ryan Seacrest like beyond just giving like a great job? Why do you have this podcast? One? I know you're not mad? She as she's acting, man, she chose Ryan seacrests sounds like she chose Ryan seacrets. If there was time she was going to say. That's what she was saying. If I get her round two backup, I was okay. If Ryan says no, Ryan's like, let me burn. I don't need it. Okay. Well, I hope Brian Seacrest appreciate you as much as I do on this podcast and in your life. Yes, as a friend, I hope he's there for you as much when you text him any advice on things and he responds and says, let me do you want to come over and talk about that? Well, don't you come over and talk about that, Tanya? I hope he does that for you, all right? Next question? Okay, bec has the topic of moving in with been brought up? He wanted you to move in tomorrow or vice versa. Would you Here's the deal with moving in with each other. I feel this about any relationship I'm in, or will ever be in, or have been in. I would never want to move in with someone for the convenience of like financial reasons or just being easier or convenient. I would like for everything to be um in a place where we are either getting like like and engaged or married before I made the step of like getting a house together or making that step. So that's how I feel about That's how I feel about moving in together. Has the conversation coming, Yeah, we've talked about it. Yeah, we've talked about it, and we both agree, like we both like having our own place. It's nice because we we It's especially been nice right now because we've gotten to go back and forth to each other's place with and have like a change of scenery, so that's been nice. And we both like our We like our place a lot. So I don't know where there would be an easy decision. We'd probably have to move into a totally separate place. And I thought about wanting to buy and I'm like, I'm not going to buy something with someone that I'm not, like, you know, planning on getting married to in the near future, because that's a that's a big deal, big commitment. So as for now, we like having our own spots. Al Right, well cool, thank you, even coming cruising theories. Ryan Seacrest over me? Remember when you chose Phoebe over me? I don't. I didn't I drink. No, you didn't. Rule the tapes. Yeah, yeah, I have to go into the arcapes to figure that one out. But uh, I just want to remind if anyone from my heart HR is listening. This is for the podcast. I mean, I have to ask this question, and this is this seems like a two parter, but it's all one question written here. What is one thing that is off limits for you in the bedroom? And then when giving a d J do you swallow or spit? That's all one question. Okay, So for the first one, I'd say nothing really I have recently learned. And then to this okay, okay, wait, nothing is off limits? As then would you have a threesome? Oh that's a good question. That is I did not think of that. No, So okay, there we go, bringing other people in correct, correct? Correct? Oh? Yeah, no, wanting to clarify so that people don't take it and roll with it. Right, thank you, thank you for the clarification, but everything else. Imagine if do you think Ryan Seacrest would have stepped in there for you? Thanks for saving um. And then for the second part, do I spare swallow spit? All right? Thank you very much? Cool, thank you, thank you, thank you for your honesty. It's cool, you know, okay, just really quick. As a man, I've never understood what the fascination with the spinning and swallowing. I've never cared, you know what I mean. Yeah, I think someone spread that rumor that it mattered, and girls took it and really made it seem like it matter. Well, I think if you want to swallow it, then swallow it. But if you mean spit it out, don't you want to put an envelope and mail it off? I do not care like it's it's it's it's my gift to you. That's what I said. Wow, my with Becca, your turn is still five? Or is it closer to a D? Or is it drop to nine? Okay, So I clarified this after the live show where I said and said I can't remember did I say eight or eighty five, so something on this So I feel like I already answered this question. It's stayed consistent. I mean, we're happy, we're in a great relationship where we haven't killed each other during quarantine. So it stayed how it is. When I addressed that, whatever felt like listen, I was put on the spot. It was a live show. You're kind of drunk. I was kind of drunk, and it felt like my best answer, and it was it's not so much like, oh my gosh, I regret saying that was just had I had more time to think about it and really go into the percentages and the numbers I was saying, I would have gone with like eight or eighty five. So it's it's all gonna say. It's like a right, yeah, like unless you're on a hundred that Mike, it's all. That's all just you know what I mean, Like it's whatever, it's cool, casual. Yeah, we're casual. We're not casual, but yeah, we're not right right yet? Alright, alright, telling you has Red Star sucked your toes and if so, we need a review. No, she's trying to smell her purel. She's trying to smell purel in sont of tequila. She's reaching for the tequila. She is opening it up. So I'm just gonna say, uh, take what you want. With that answer, she is being ready to inhale the tequila. It's it's a it's a brand new bottle. It's actually a stunning bottle. Yeah, big, big one, big one. Okay. Wow, I don't know if how's an acting performance? Are real? But that wasn't. I'm nervous. It's like, that's miss Calvin. It's a cool bottle. Well, damn. I was hoping for a review or a rating or something, but oh well, we'll talk about now. We'll never know. Yeah, we'll never know what the answer is. It's the review I can't quite give. I don't think I can't quite Yeah, I think I need another round. Interesting, Okay, well we got we got a two for one deal and that okay, uh Becca, have you met parents and has met yours? And was it in person? Was it on FaceTime? If so? I have met parents, but has not met my parents, and they love me and I love they not They're amazing. Yeah, you know we should have made these questions more. I'm surprised you haven't sniffed anything yet. Really, I really am, because usually you're you're reaching for the drink. I'm just hugly. You're hitting the bottle pretty hard in this game, so I admire your openness. I'm too vulnerable right now. My stomach is like, don't do it. If you can answer, please answer. That was a rough whiff. I'm not gonna lie. We'll keep them coming and get ready with again with this one. Rank your favorite to least favorite co hosts Becca Ryan. I deserve I deserve an answer here, do that? They you guys. I can't rank people like I literally just can't do it. Remember that when they gave me you guys gave me the f Mary kill East and Mark Ryan. I wasn't in the you were listen two of these already two questions tonight and I already didn't get chosen. So I feel like I deserve throw me abone. Okay, you'd be my number one. Okay, great, that's all I needed. Moving on, Ryan or Okay, so I'm number one and then he's number two, you number two, you you're all three. Yeah, she takes all the slots. No, no, no, because like I get one spot and then you have two more people. Okay, it'd probably be Sis. I'm closer to Sis and then Ryan. But yet you choose Ryan and the fire because of get it Ryan survival is how she makes her money. That sounds so what is this? Are you kidding me? Do you we have a career here this podcast? Correct? I would sacrifice myself to save you. We're past it, Okay, I'm number one. Though. That was nice. I don't know if this is pulling back the curtain too much, but there was. I did see a question earlier for Tanya that said who do you like better Marker Easton? And then Mark sent me the finalist and he took that question out. I think he's afraid of the answer. I think she'd take a whiff on that one. I mean, it's so hard for me because it's like I also feel like my relationships with everybody are so different. No, I mean, obviously, Becca, you're my best friend, so like you go to the top, but like truly, like it's hard for you to to just like rank people like that. It is, and like you know, we we've done this a number of times now, and like putting the questions together is really hard because it's like what questions will Beck to answer and which one's well won't right, and it's the rank of people I can't do it. Yeah, well all right, but we're getting close to the end here. Um, Becca, if Jennifer Aniston came to you and said, I want to be the co host of Scrubbing In, I want Tanya gone by Tanya. Wow, Okay, I'm just kidding, it'd be a hard conversation, but yeah, tire In, I wouldn't be that insensitive to you. We'd have a good conversation about it. You'd understand though, like you and Ryan doing your own show because I'm dead, and then me and Jen in the fire that's burning. Wow, And it's good to know where you're standing. You know, they really said anyone else I would like not even question it. They set me up with, like yeah, yeah, you get it. You understand, Like Jennifer, I mean, Ryan doing our own show. Yeah, it's like you can frying doing And it's like me and Jen doing like five scrubbing him with friends, and you and Ryan doing like scrubbing in with Ryan seacrests right right in, Tanya rat right. So yeah, oh, the tables have turned my all of a sudden, she's at to upset with me. Okay, do you think Jennifer Anderson would be doing these meet and greets with Hey? Jen? Think so? She want to need to Let's say Jen, I'll tell him, you say hi. We're down to the final two. Okay, what is the cringe eest thing that Red Star does? Be honest, don't try to just be sitting here staring, don't he's curious. He doesn't really do anything cringe e Okay, First, I've just seen everyone to know that Tony is like obsessed with her star like everything. We walk over to the pool today and he's on a business call and she's like, it's so weird that like hearing him on a business call it turns me on my god. So the cringe cringe factor is pretty low. I do have to say yesterday, though, I was a little bit disturbed by the way you were smacking that smelly gum. What's going Yeah, that chewing gum that you have that it was like fruity. Yeah, it was like smacky and it was fruity smell. Well, that's yeah, I think you can get You'll be able to get through that. So there's not much factor honestly, Yeah, I'm pretty upset. I still don't think there's anything cringe e. What's cringe e like the buggy or that, Like, like, what's something cringe eye do Alison? You shouldn't have to struggle for this, like what you know? Like oh, she said, when when I have something funny to say and I'm waiting for Allison to finish your sentence, I can say it. That's that's crazy, that's that's pretty good. I think she has brought this up to We've said this in counseling before. We talked about does that too. It's waiting to tell a joke. I'm like, just chill, let me listen to my story before you tell yours. Allison's like pouring her heart out to me about something like very heavy, and I'm just like, oh man, I got this real good singer, I got this. I saw this really funny streets sillne today. I can't wait to tell her about. No, it's not nearly that bad, right, That's that's an example of a cringe e thing. Okay, yeah, I don't think I don't I mean smacking the gun, Yes, smacking would be a crune thing for me, but I've never heard smack. I've never heard you smack gun before ever. Oh wow, so you've known about this problem? Mean you refuse to change it, right, And I'm just also wondering if it was because I've never smelt that kind of gum in your mouth before. It was like it was like the orbit red one strawberry strawberry. Yeah, for that fresh brush, clean feeling, no matter what, Okay, everything else with that, I'm pretty obsessed. Final question, rank best to worst kisser? Ben Higgins, Cristals and alright, m Chris, Chris and Ben are great kissers. I do have to say, like I would say, I have no complaints of the way, so when I say this, it really is just because I have to choose one or the other, Ben and Chris. But to be honest, I had more makeouts with Chris, So maybe I should put Chris and in a Ben because we actually have like more of like more intense makeout sessions than I did with Ben because he sent me home earlier. Is every kiss or and make out? Does every kiss begin? Are they all tell? Like? Was everything taped? Like? Could I watch every single makeout session you've had with? Well? You could see I think at least parts of everyone, but like some of them. Like one night we were like on a rooftop with Chris and we like that was like pretty much most of our date. But they only showed like they didn't show that. It's like a lot of it. But yeah, they were both great kisser. All three great kiss are great kissers. Got to say, I know, Okay, embarrassment of riches. I think, I mean, I think we know the answer about part of this question. But do you think Red Star is the one? Yes? No or percentage? Since that's in play now, h do you believe that Red Star feels you are the one oh two tiered hat that he's sitting here? Okay, but I can answer this, Um, I can answer this. I think that I see potential in him being the one for sure. Um, I think that everything that led us to each other is very invisible string Taylor swift vibe. So it does feel very meant to be. However, I do also feel like there are um a lot of things, visible strings, A lot of visible strings that I need to get through before I can fully say that. But I do see a lot of what I want in the one in him for sure. That's a beautiful answer. Great answer I got. I would not be part if what is the second part? Do you think he feels that way? But you do you think he thinks you're the one? No, I can't answer that for him. Oh that's that's a good answer. She can't answer that for him. So yeah, good answer. But that's my answer. I mean, I don't. Yeah, well, we only had one huffle puff of the tequila. I'm also not I will I could. I'm not against speaking on it. I just need I think I just need another round? What does not mean just I don't know when we do this again? Correct? Not another round of the because we're talking we're talking about the toast second right? Oh wait are we talking about this for a second? Oh what do you think? We're talking about her answering about if she's like she's the one? I thought she meant like, wait till the next time we play this game, which is like a few months. Ask me that again. Yeah, sure, keep it on the table. I didn't realize you're talking about to How did y'all have a secret language or did I miss that? I've just been thinking about to sucking this whole time, you know, because that was that was earlier. She said, I can't rank it because I need another round, right, alright, did so that implies it's only happened once, but it has happened, right, but we don't know with whom. Sorry, Well that's ladies and gentlemen. Thanks to everyone from our Facebook group for subbing those questions. Next time, Well, great questions to be honest, like they challenged me, and I was, you know, I'm happy to open up about about the things that I was asked. So I feel like the thing about truth or drink is that the goal is for us to share. So if you make them too hard, then it's just drunk me trying to correct, you know what I'm saying. So it's like I liked that they asked challenging questions, but it's still enough that I felt comfortable answering. Well, we have some emails you guys wanna do. Yeah, it was just we'll do one. We'll do this. This is a girthy episode, as Tanya would say, so let's uh, we'll do an email here, um, here we go. This is from Caitlin. Me and my boyfriend had been dating for a little over a year and we have truly had the perfect relationship. We've never had one fight, and he's the first guy I've been with that I truly trust a hundred percent. Last night, we were at a bar and he got too drunk, which is not like him, and tried to drive us home. I hadn't drink much, so I said I could drive. And for reference, we live in a small town. Ubers don't exist here. We were in the car and he starts swerving and I started yelling at him to please pull over. Then he started screaming at me, and he hit me multiple times in the arm and then once in the face and knocked off my glasses. Fast forward, I broke up with him, and he's begging me to go to couples counseling and he'll stop drinking. What should I do? This is rough? Um, this one's hard for me because I also think that drinking isn't it is not an excuse to put your hands on somebody even so, um, it's hard for me to like justify like, oh, you know, we all, I mean, we all obviously drink, and you know, but I think putting your hands on somebody's always not acceptable. Because even if he says I won't drink again, like you know, like are you just gonna be kind of like living in that fear of like what if you know? Like I don't know. I just to me, it feels very unsafe. I could never imagine somebody that I'm with like doing life with, living life with all the time, not knowing how they're gonna not knowing like I just for me, like I know that the person that I'm with would never lay their hand on me. Does that make sense? So like you not knowing that, not having that comfortable feels dangerous to me. Yeah, I've never been into relation ship or anyone was ever even where I even thought they would ever be physical with me. So it's hard, I think, from both of us to have that perspective because I think people have probably had experiences where they've had that happen and maybe they did go to counseling and maybe there was resolution and they sorted it out. But my initial reaction is like I don't like it, you know, like if it was my friend, I'd be like you, I don't want I don't want you dating someone that would ever consider laying their hands on whether alcohol was in their system or not. It would be an absolute not for me. The fact that he's capable of that is is terrifying. And I think he needs to go to therapy on his own. I was going to say that, you know, to get through because and she you should not go back to this guy. I mean, it's always be like, oh, what's else is going to set them off? Exactly And and maybe like down the road if he's like your person and he's like gone to therapy and worked on himself, and you see a difference that way, but you should not be in a relation ship where you have to worry about him drinking for the sake of him well, and you're safety too. I think, like the thing is, I think there's no obviously no relationship is you know, every relationship comes with it's good and bad. That is like a non negotiable bad in my opinion, I agree. Well, sorry, Caitlin, but that's that's how we feel. Um. Before we say goodbye, before we wrap this up, we got to talk about Bill Royal and how great they've been. This has been such a fun time. I love this hotel. It's uh so there's the vill Royale in Palm Springs in southern California, and uh it's this place is like it's it's like when you if you go to like this crazy fancy rich person's house, but you can do all the cool stuff, like you can go into three pools, you can write, right, it kind of winds you of like, um, the house in that movie last year it was really big Brad Pitt and Leo and Leonardo DiCaprio Hollywood kind of. Yeah, yeah, it totally has that vibe. It's like this is like classic old kind of like like this is the place like Dean Martin goes to escape to. Right, Oh my god, it's yeah, it's great.
