Ontario Labour Minister Kevin Flynn joined Employment Lawyer Lior Samfiru on The Employment Hour to talk about Bill 148 (aka Fair Workplaces, Better Jobs Act, 2017) and the changes coming to the Employment Standards Act and workplaces on January 1st, 2018.

Personal emergency leave will no longer be limited to employees at large companies, and 2 out of the 10 days of personal emergency leave will be paid days. However, auto workers will still be limited to 7 personal days. Why don't they get the same 10 days that everybody else does?

Minister Flynn also comments on scheduling exemptions for First Responders in Ontario.
