In this episode, we explore what happens when someone sees the world differently from us, and why disagreement can sometimes feel like something much bigger than a difference of opinion.

We talk about what happens in the body when a deeply held belief is challenged, and how quickly difference can be interpreted as danger. Can we create enough space between reaction and response to become curious about what is happening within us, and about the person standing in front of us?

Along the way, the conversation moves from disagreement to understanding. Can we understand why someone believes what they believe without needing to believe it ourselves? Can we remain open to another perspective without abandoning our own? And perhaps underneath it all sits an even more vulnerable question: does belonging require agreement?

Maybe we don’t need to agree in order to remain in relationship. Maybe we can trust ourselves enough to hold our own perspective while allowing someone else to hold theirs.

What might become possible if neither of us has to win?

How about we simply say: I’m seeing it differently — and I’m still seeing you.
