Standby for shocks and surprises as the faint waft of warmer weather dents the bozone layer and a sliver of 2026 shines on proceedings, delivering a rare foray into music made since the turn of the century.

Ken reviews Hot Machine's latest gig and previews their debut album. But wait, there's more: Finey has discovered a English pop star Sienna Spiro, who is younger than most of Stephen J Peak's socks.

Pass the smelling salts because that's not all.

Spoiler alert: Clarkson gets boned, tennis fans get stoned, the Crows get no love and where is that missing glove?

Ruck 'n Roll

What do you get when World of Sport meets Countdown. You get Ruck 'n Roll.  You get longtime radio DJ Kevin Hillier, sports nut and broadcaster Mark Fine, music nut and broadcaster Ken Francis plus lawyer and raconteur Stephen J Peak and you have an unusual mix. But the four of them have many things in common - their love of sport, their love of music and their love of chatting about that and more. Put them in a studio together and the mix is electric.

A good St. Kilda footy story! No really, it is.
Random culinary observations with zero nutritional validation
A surprisingly sensible discussion about the ARIA Hall of Fame

This Means Nothing to Me.

The dreaded post-gig lurgy has floored Ken, who is missing this week. The fact he spent a lot of time with SJP last week is pure coincidence. Said no-one.

That aside, there is lots to talk about this week, including South Melbourne’s amazing Australia Cup victory, AFL trades, cricket in South Africa, running out of petrol and of course the Spring Racing Carnival gets a guernsey.

Warning:

If you follow SJP’s tips you have already lost your mind. Your shirt will follow.

Spring Fever's got a Hold.

Like a caged beast in a David Attenborough doco, Stephen J Peak has again been released into the wild, or as it is better known in environmental and ecological circles - Fitzroy. The Evelyn Hotel to be precise, where a special breed of female homosapiens known as Hot Machine were introducing new, exciting sounds from some prehistoric gizmo known as - a record album. Stephen and Sherpa Ken Francis survived and we hear their tale in this episode.

In other parts of this wildlife adventure, we talk about humans being swapped so they can kick a pigskin around, other humans throwing flying projectiles at a piece of wood and fine equine beasts racing each other with fancy dressed small creatures sitting on top of them.
