The South East continues to feel the effects of Ex-Tropical Cyclone Alfred, with gusty winds and heavy rain.
Senior Meterologist, Angus Hines told Sofie Formica, "The wind will begin to ease once the centre of the system is well and truly over land, so that's probably overnight tonight."
"So I think between now and midnight, we really could be in for some really gusty conditions through Brisbane and other parts of the South East, but the rain will outlive that."
"The rain is expected to stick around not just through until midnight, but through much of the day tomorrow, looking very wet and then even into early next week, could be a wet start to the week before the the whole system and all the associated moisture moves south across the border and into New South Wales," Mr Hines continued.
