Economic abuse is often hidden behind love, loyalty and the pressure to “stand by your man”. National Debt Advisors is highlighting how women, including financially independent, high-earning women, can be manipulated into taking on debt to support their partners. This can include paying for cars, funding businesses, covering household expenses or using credit cards to maintain a partner’s lifestyle.
