Thus, they may make Rockford a permanent home after contracts at their companies have expired.



SEGMENT #3: Karen Carlson Gigi’s Playhouse Rockford Down Syndrome Month/Gala

Since October is Down Syndrome Awareness Month, Executive Director Karen Carlson outlines the importance of acceptance and awareness of individuals with Down Syndrome, and what GiGi’s Playhouse Rockford provides for over 400 families in the Stateline.  In addition, she outlines the who, what, where and why of the upcoming “I Have A Voice Gala”, which is their main fundraiser.

Spooktacular Job Fair 2024 on October 23rd at the Discovery Center will highlight employers with openings and looking to add individuals and opportunities for those with disabilities.
