Big voices at the ballot box, big questions onstage, and celebrity moves nobody saw coming—Rickey and the crew bring the headlines and humor live from the One Voyage Cruise in Nassau, Bahamas. The Rickey Smiley Morning Show Podcast spotlights rising Black early-voter turnout across the South amid battles over congressional maps and representation, with reporting pointing to strong participation in Louisiana, North Carolina, and Georgia. Gary With the Tea turns to fans’ concerns about Keyshia Cole after clips from her Houston-area performances circulated online, including moments when she leaned on the audience to sing. The crew shares concern and calls for support, while speculation about the cause of her performance difficulties remains unconfirmed.

The conversation heats up as BMF actor Da’Vinchi apologizes for his wording during a discussion of American work ethic and slavery. He says his criticism was not aimed specifically at Black Americans and clarifies that slavery is a historical reality, not an excuse, while the crew stresses the importance of remembering the past. In the Hot Spot, former NBA star Lamar Odom launches an OnlyFans account, teasing a more personal, playful side of his life; girlfriend Rachel Bradley has also joined, with a possible collaboration reportedly ahead. Plus, singer and actress LeToya Luckett joins Rickey live to discuss Tyler Perry’s Divorced Sistas, her unexpected acting breakthrough in Preacher’s Kid, and the preparation behind Perry’s fast-paced productions. She also shares a touching Set It Off stage-tour memory about discovering her pregnancy and how Da Brat and her castmates helped protect her—bringing sisterhood, laughter, and behind-the-scenes warmth to the episode.
