The farewell Rescuers show – Art Brooks

View descriptionShare

What began as a project to spotlight people making a difference in our community grew far beyond initial expectations.

When Art Brooks sat behind a mic for the first Rescuers show in 2020, COVID had just closed down workplaces across the country. It was not an auspicious time to start a new project, but it was the ideal time to introduce stories that would bring light and hope into a troubled era.

And so it did. For nearly six years and a total of 304 shows, Art shared stories of people and organizations who exhibited fortitude, creativity, compassion, and countless hours to help others and make this world a better place.

Hear how the program was started, some of the amazing guests who have been featured through the years, and how a diagnosis of Alzheimer's led to Art is choosing to say farewell to listeners around the globe.

For the final show, Art will be interviewed by his wife Dinah, whose role is typically booking guests and handling media. Special thanks go to those who supported the show through the years, both financially and through prayer, especially Rick and Chris Johnson of RC Fasteners who were steadfast encouragers.

On this, the last day, we leave that legacy of hope and light.

Art Brooks – you are a rescuer!
