In this episode, my guest is 92 year old Holocaust survivor Jochen "Jack" Wirfl, who had to pretend he wasn't Jewish by joining Hitler's youth. After his mother died in Auschwitz and his father died of malnutrition from his time in a concentration camp, Jack came to America where he learned English, joined the Army, led the color guard in Normandy, and started an insurance company. His story is inspirational and educational at a time when antisemitism is rampant in elite American universities.
