Federal probes keep widening around Gavin Newsom’s orbit: former chief of staff Dana Williamson pleaded guilty in a scheme that siphoned $225,000 from Xavier Becerra’s campaign account. Behested payments, nonprofit questions, and massive Medi-Cal/Medicare fraud cases continue to pile up. Rep. James Gallagher (R-CA), former Assembly GOP leader now in Congress, joins the conversation.

The White House is calling it the biggest oil deal in history. North American Blue Energy Partners received 100-year concessions on 17 fields holding ~65 billion barrels.
