(22:15-37:24) – Dr. Mike Lovell, Marquette University President, joins Jake Query in studio to preview their matchup this afternoon against Western Kentucky, access the job that Shaka Smart has done with the program as a mentor and coach, the importance of NIL for schools like Marquette or Butler, and believes that the concept of NIL is right, but there are things that they need to work out with the right regulations and controls of guidance.

Additionally, they discuss why Kentucky lost to Oakland, and it’s not because of on court play. This leads to a larger conversation about NIL and the future of college basketball with Dartmouth becoming the first school to form a union with the basketball players.
