As we commemorate reggae month in February and Jamaica celebrates the 59th anniversary of political independence from Great Britain, Thabiso Kotane today speaks to reggae artists Dr Colbert Mukwevho and promoter Fikile Makhalemele about the contribution of the island’s musical genre of reggae to Africa’s liberation from colonialism, freedom from apartheid and hope for peace and prosperity.
