Over the holiday period, mass travel is a common thing with people heading home for the festive and some for desired holiday destinations. During this period, airports and roads are flooded with people moving from one place to another as they maximise on the time they have. This, however, comes with the good and the bad. Mass travel encompasses safety risks and other possible travel challenges. In the recent month, South African airports have faced significant challenges that have affected passengers’ travel plans. The latest issue to severely affect passengers is overbooked flights with many not boarding the flights they paid for.
