The African National Congress (ANC) is celebrating its 114th anniversary today in the North West, marking over a century since its founding in 1912. The celebrations are taking place in Rustenburg and at Moruleng Stadium, with events including cake-cutting ceremonies, rallies, door-to-door campaigns, community engagements, and visits to local communities. Traditional rituals and interactions with local chiefs are also part of the festivities, reflecting the party’s efforts to remain connected to communities while celebrating its historical legacy. The ANC Youth League and other affiliated structures have emphasized the party’s long history of struggle, resilience, and service to the South African people.
