Oral history therefore plays a vital role in preserving these voices, ensuring that the lessons of South Africa’s journey to freedom are remembered and passed on to future generations. Instead, purpose can unfold gradually, shaped by community, spirituality, and the presence of ancestors. This conversation therefore explores the idea that purpose may not be fixed, but rather shaped through an ongoing relationship between the individual, their life experiences, and, in some traditions, the influence of their ancestors. By looking at beliefs surrounding ancestral guidance, dreams, illness, recurring patterns, and spiritual callings such as ukuthwasa, We’re joined by Spiritual coach, Khumo Magane.
