HR is often expected to be the neutral bridge between employees and management, but the reality is far more complicated. Because while Human Resources is meant to protect workplace fairness, it also exists within structures of power. HR reports to leadership, works within company interests and is often forced to navigate the tension between protecting employees and protecting the organisation itself.
