We are hanging out with Moyake, an Afro-soul singer-songwriter from Gqeberha in the Eastern Cape, whose music is rooted in soulful melodies, authenticity and heartfelt storytelling.
With over nine years of choral experience, including performing with the KZN-Midlands Youth Choir, Moyake has developed a sound that brings together vocal discipline, musicality and emotional depth. She writes her own music, often beginning the creative process with an acoustic guitar, and has performed at festivals and live music events across South Africa.
Her breakthrough single, Azange, introduced her to a wider national audience, earning playlist support and chart recognition. Moyake joins us to talk about her musical journey and the stories behind her music.
