Born in the heart of Tzaneen, Limpopo and Raised in the vibrant streets of Soweto, our feel good story looks at the life of Hanyelo Valoyi who’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. Currently warning as a Shift Supervisor at The Gender Based Violence Command Centre. A Marketing and Communication specialist by profession, she had the foundation for a promising career when she walked through the gates of TUT and UNISA, but life had other plans. She became a breadwinner of a child-headed family of four after her mother's death and to survive she picked up a skill she knew would put food on the table. We speak to her about her journey as a self taught chef who’s turned her story of survival and hardship into one of triumph.
