Roman Eugene Cameron is from Eersterust in Pretoria, South Africa. Five years ago he was diagnosed with vitamin B12 deficiency that caused spinal cord degeneration. In his five years as a wheelchair user he has played wheelchair rugby for his hometown and represented his team at a 5s national team camp. He is an adaptive CrossFit athlete ranked 5th in the world in the Hip Division. Outside the gym he is a scuba diver who loves how the ocean gives him freedom of movement and a view of creation that inspires him.
