Celebrating Fathers Day without a Dad.

View descriptionShare

Father's Day can be a joyful occasion for many families, but for some parents and children, it can also bring up difficult emotions and questions. In homes where a father is absent, has passed away, or is simply not involved in a child's life, school activities such as making Father's Day cards can become challenging moments to navigate. What happens when your child comes home proudly holding a Father's Day card and asks, "Who do I give this to?" How do you respond in a way that is honest, age-appropriate and supportive? And how can parents help children process these moments without feeling different or left out? We're joined by Kgomotso Moalusi and Life Coach, Tsholo Modikoe as they unpack how parents can navigate school activities that centre around fathers, while protecting their child's emotional wellbeing and helping them feel loved, supported and understood.
