We've all heard of "quiet quitting," where employees do the bare minimum at work. But what happens when the silence comes from the employer instead? A LinkedIn survey of more than 200,000 professionals found that 48% have witnessed a colleague being "quietly fired". Slowly pushed out through exclusion, lack of support, or missed opportunities rather than a formal dismissal. We are in conversation with HR expert, Lerato Shawane as we unpack what quiet firing looks like, why it happens, and what both employers and employees can do to address it.
