Last night, four people lost their lives in a tragic head-on collision on the R38 between Kaapmuiden and Louws Creek. According to reports, a sedan collided head-on with a light delivery vehicle (LDV) before swerving into the path of an oncoming truck. The impact resulted in the immediate deaths of the sedan's driver and three passengers. Thabiso Kotane speaks to Mpumalanga Community Safety Spokesperson, Moeti Mmusi.

Mpumalanga crashes claim 7 lives

The Finance Member of the Mayoral Committee (MMC) for the City of Johannesburg, Margaret Arnolds, presented the municipality's budget for the 2025/26 financial year earlier today. The budget totals R89.4 billion and is fully funded. It includes projected operating revenue of R84.8 billion and operating expenditure of R80.7 billion, resulting in a projected surplus of R4.1 billion before taxation and capital grants.
