In the end, YOU get to choose the best lineup! Cast your votes on our Instagram, @PodMeetsWorldShow, for who had the best drafts. We need your help!

Hey, everybody, thank you so much for joining us in this episode of Popmeet's World. We just wanted to very briefly acknowledge what's going on right now in Los Angeles as everybody. As I'm sure aware from the news, we are in the midst of a horrible fire and windstorm.

People are losing their homes all over the place. People are in danger.

It's really really a scary time to be out here right now. We want you all to know that our homes are safe as of the moment. A lot of people's aren't, though, and we just want everybody to know that our thoughts and prayers are with everybody and with the fire fighters that are out there on the front lines doing everything they can to keep everybody safe and everybody's property as safe as is possible. So thank you so much for reaching out to us as much as you had. We've heard you, and we could not thank you enough.

So I you know, I've I've done a couple like writing retreats where I've gone out and just taken like three days by myself, like catch up on projects and whatnot. And I finally have found the perfect airbnb for me with all the features and everything that I want. So I want to play a game. I want you guys to guess what it is about this place?

What? What? What?

What do I like in an Airbnb for a writing retreat?

Okay, a fireplace?

Yeah? Books? No, you know what a lot of books?

Okay, but don't you know I I bring like six of my own, so it's not like I would actually read the books that we're here anyway.

Parking spoty wi fi and.

Yes, okay, I knew he would say bad parking suedough I had to like park on some dirt path and then like hike up these stairs and carried on my crab.

I was like, what is this?

Yeah, horrible parking situation and you know, complicated arrival sure.

Okay, okay. An outdoor fire pit slash seating.

Area close, but no, there's no actual outdoor fire pit that.

Okay, Okay skip the fire outdoor seating area where you could be outdoors.

Absolutely okay, Absolutely.

And riding and taking an inspiration okay, hiking access to hiking trails.

Absolutely, there's hiking trails unforced waki.

Boot grappling, smelting room, thinking about squeaky boots, just squeaky boots no, yeah, and then you've got obviously regular stuff.

You want a kitchen and all that.

Yeah, okay, okay, we sleep on the floor probably what.

D hammock, Well, I could bring that, but no, it's it's uh, it's very much an old like like Desert Cowboy.

Vibe Home on the rain, like, yeah, it's so beautiful.

It's like this is a clear was like some hunting cabin back in the day, but it's been like, you know, hipstered out, so now it's like really nice.

Anyway.

It has a grand piano, which super you're just playing piano the whole time there just yeah, sitting at the top of my lungs when no one can hear me.

It's so much fun.

I see your suitcase is right by the door. Are you Are you leaving after we record?

Yeah?

Checkout is actually eleven, so I had to ask for extended checkout.

L twelve got a dollar for every time someone need an extended checkout to finish their national podcast. Like again, really, god, who do we keep having it this place?

Okay, the best part is that they're outside and I'm surprised, you guys there is a hot tub, right, but guess what.

It's a wood burning hot tub. So I had to start a fire on and maintain it because the whole house is off the grid, so there's no everything is solar powered, and so you light this fire and the water siphons, you know, just from the heat alone. Five hours it took, and then I had this glorious, like one hundred and three degree hot tab.

I don't even know, probably not.

Just lighting a fire under somebody's bathtub. Oh shoot, dude.

I And then I was like, God, this is taking forever. It's not getting hot, and they have this huge paddle for me to like stir the hot tub, like to keep the water cycling.

And then at ten o'clock.

At night, I'm like it's finally ready, and I turn off all the lights outside and I'm out in the desert, so the stars are just amazing and I sit in the hot tub. It was so glorious.

And then I was like all right, you know, and I covered the hot tub up and I go to bed, and like in the guidebook, it's like, you know, it should still be warm. The next morning, I'm like, really didn't get around to getting into the next The next night, it was still.

Hot enough for me to go in. So last night I had a second. Yeah.

So I actually think like a wood burning hot tub is more efficient than like because our house, we have a hot tub and we're always like we don't use it that much, but when we do use it, it's like, you know, it takes an hour and a half to heat it up and then we turn it off, and it's like, this seems more efficient.

This was just five hours of manual labor for everything.

I press on my facts and chop my.

Own wood to heat up my own hot tub.

Like, come off, so right, this is like this is I mean, because that's like the.

Perfect thing to do to take a break from writing. You know, it's like sitting there, Oh I got to go check.

The fire while you wait for it to get cigarettes.

Oh it's so lovely.

Oh my god. We have very different, very different airbnb.

Yeah.

Mine would be like the center of London, you know, yeah, right in the city. Yeah that kind of a butler.

Yeah yeah, yeah, no, I like that. I am completely low. I have not left the property since I got here.

You know.

It's like once I got a decent sized place.

No, I mean it's a little two bedroom, but it's just cool.

It's just like open and you know it's got music and the piano and the guitar and then like outdoor space. I'm so happy and I got so much more done and caught up so much.

When you open the door to go outside, every time does a tumbleweed go by?

And you here, you know what, every single.

There is a very very aggressive cat who lives on the property or lives next door. And like I, you know, got a note that was like don't let Molly the cat in the house.

I'm like, okay, you know they're like we have guesses sometimes are allergic this cat.

I cannot open the door without the cat being right there, and I'm like, geez, Molly, Like the second I got here, just ran into the house and I was like chasing, chasing Molly roup. But then last night I'm sitting sitting here writing and I look up at the sick and I just see the cutest little mouse running the sick and like, check out my coffee grinds.

Oh, Like that's why Molly wants to get in.

He wants to do you.

But that's maybe we should let Molly in.

Go just Molly with a little lock pit set every night, like trying to get into your house like that kind of thing.

Yeah, very different.

Well, congratulations on getting away and getting caught up.

That sounds so nice minus the intense.

Five hours of manual labor that you had to use in order to get atout.

I literally just turned on my hot tub while we were talking.

Yeah, welcome to Pod Meets World. I'm Daniel Fishl.

I'm Righter strong, and I'm wilfredell.

Oh.

Welcome to our season five draft.

We to lose again. I'm never gonna win.

At the start of this, I was trying to explain I'm back home in my childhood home, and I'm trying to explain to my parents what the draft is and what we're doing, and every time I'm just like and not of that.

But I'm like, I've never won. I've never been close to winning.

I somehow it was just Rider and I for the movie thing. I came in third, Like this is it's terrible.

So I I already don'tm gonna lose. Don't care for myself.

This is gonna be a weird one.

Because your first two or three picks are really easy and then it's like, what do you do that?

Not only that, but I think of any season we have the most the same likes, and so after the first round, we're all going to be like, well, everything that was circled is now gone, and now for the next three rounds, I have to take what's left to pick.

The meta where I made is like it's a trail mix, and I feel like we're going to be stuck with like something all that. It's just the coconut, you guys, it's coconut almonds for you.

Guys both like almonds reasons, raisins in yours.

You don't like reasons either.

But if you're going if you're in a trail mix and you end up with just a handful of raisins, that's.

That's not a trail mix, that's a box of raisins.

Know what we're saying, the trail favored raisins.

Do you prefer a heavily favored chocolate trail mix or a heavily favored like trail trail mix.

Trail mix needs you a little bit of chalkol, but you need to need the chocolate.

You can't incasion eminem that pops in.

Is a great eminem.

I like se A seventy thirty A seventy thirty trail and a thirty you know, seventy trail thirty chocolate. And then I even though I like raisins, I'd probably only have two percent raisins and an occasional raisins.

Fine, but you know what's great a crasin? Have you had the crazies Cranberry raisins? Like that?

A little bit is good.

The difference is when Ryder has trail mixed, He's actually on the trail trail burning it, whereas I'm just on the couch and so I'm just eating candy based.

I'm usually at the airport.

That's the only place I've ever eaten a trail exactly.

I'm gonna I don't.

Want to have like a trail my first quest seat.

Thank you for understanding my trial board.

I'm on the trail to my pre board to my life flat seat.

Yes it is is taxing from.

This kind of extra push.

The draft board has officially returned, as we are now sitting down to pick our favorite episodes of the very complex season five filled with a few very high points, some low points, and even phill leads. We are recording this before we know the results of our season four draft so either Will has finally found redemption.

Nope, gonna never gonna happen.

Nor he once again failed to overcome the plague of repetitive losses, bringing embarrassment to his friends and his family who.

He's visiting now, I'm visiting now.

I'm sure the snake order in which we will pick was once again randomly created by draft order Generator, and it ended up in this configuration.

Danielle will go first, that's me, Will will go second, and writer will go last.

My god, We'll each select four episodes, creating a small team of sorts filled with our favorite scripts, performances, and iconic moments, going into this one with a few under our belt.

Do either of you have a strike for today?

Don't come in last? Yeah, man, that I've already lost my strategy. That's I've know. My strategy is. I've given up.

I've given up. I like, I don't care what anybody else thinks. No one's going to vote for me any I'm picking my stuff.

Actually going last might be a benefit, right now, Well, yeah.

For pick one, right because because I feel like there's only four or five that we all love.

That's exactly what I'm saying about any of them that I would have wanted last place, it would have been this one.

So this season five has arguably the best episode of ever in the series and.

The worst episode ever in the series. In my humble opinion, you have your you have a best episode of the series, for sure.

I think I would say it's in the conversation of episode.

I agree. I know which one he thinks it is.

I have a similar idea, a similar theory, which is the episodes I of this season. I almost would take any of them as number one. I'm like, oh, there's a lot of them that, to me, especially for this season, are like tied for number one. If they're not number one, they're number two. But so like, oh and then everything else is like twentieth.

So.

It ain't gonna get a good for everybody's going to get a good first pick because each of us is going to get a good one that is great, and then it's going to be like, oh kay, did.

You guys looking at the list? It was so crazy how much For me, it's the first six episodes of the season. I could just do without two.

I was like, yeah, whoa, And I think that's really what put us on in the mindset that season five was not great, because after that it's really not that bad. Like the bad ones are really not bad. It's it's literally just all first six episodes in a row are like, oh oh oh, I wouldn't pick any of these.

Which is just crazy that they were in the yeah, in order.

Like that, writer, do you have a strategy for this or you just.

Well, now, I'm just gonna take the two that you guys don't take of the best of.

The written down. We've all got the same five or four written down again.

And then you know, and then at that point my last you know, because we're getting Yeah, so then I'll have two in a row.

It'll just be just the least of worst.

Yeah, I know.

I really I'm in a terrible position because I have to go first, and and it's the worst of all the positions because there are so many of them that I think are really great.

And I'm really torn between two.

As my for taking as my number one too, and I'm trying to night and yeah, exactly, you know what, storry night. I am really having a hard time. But I think I think I'm going to take all right. And here's the good news. I'm not taking Writer's number one episode, although it is circled and is in the list for me as being way up there as number one. I would if I took it as number one, it would probably only be so that Rider didn't have it.

And that doesn't help us at all. It doesn't help us in the way play hurt.

That's the point.

And I'm and I'm not going to take Will's favorite episode, and yet.

It's in there, it's it's in it's in contention as being my favorite, but I can't remember.

I know, I know the second I hear it, I'm going to know what it is.

You're going to know what it is.

But yeah, I'm not going to take either one of yours, but I am going to take another one that's on both of your lists, and it's going to be And then there was Sean I am going to take, And then.

There was Sean is number one.

And now I can't wait. I don't get another pick for four four. There's four picks before I get another one, so cross off basically the rest of my list, and then I'm just stuck. But all right, so our next person is will you get to pick next?

Uh?

In what I'm calling I'm going to lose no matter what Season five draft. I am picking what I think could be in the conversation, And and then there were Sean is obviously, you know, a great episode, arguably the most famous episode we've ever done, certainly the episode with the most paper mileage.

It's got the most ink.

People have written about it, talked about it, we did ninety two shows about it.

I mean, yeah, and then there was Sean. I can see that.

This episode, I think you could argue, is in contention for the best episode of the series.

Season five, episode fourteen, Heartbreak Cory.

No, oh, wow, no, believe it. Wow shocking.

I don't know what your favorite episode.

The reason I don't think you would pick it is because he's not in it too. It's like it's an ericless episode. It's like, hey, you loved watch it's the best episode of Boy Met World of Eric's not there, you know what I mean. If Eric is not in the show, it's never going to be the best Episodega Christmas, No.

It is Starry Night, Like I said, my favorite episode. No, I am taking raging Corey.

Oh, you're taking writer's favorite.

It is such a good episode, is so balanced, it is so much fun. Everybody was good in it. We had so much fun making it. It is the right amount of heart and absurdity. The scene in the the skydiving scene is one of my favorite scenes that I've ever shot. It is laugh out loud funny. So I am taking raging Corey of the Boy. Wow.

Writer, I I did not expect that. I thought I was given that one to you, and I thought.

It's such a good it's it's I think you could argue it's one of it's one of the best, if not the best episode of boy Me's world that's ever been done.

I agree with you. It's really good.

Writer. You get two back to back now, which should hopefully be a little consolation for your first pick being snaked.

Yeah that sucks.

Okay, well I'll take Heartbreak Corey out of the gate. Her great episode, all around great episode.

Yeah.

Classic, I mean in terms of like overall story, you know, it's one of the most important episodes to the Corey Tapanga stuff, but also just so such a funny, fun episode.

Yeah, yeah, Okay, it's a great episode.

Okay, gosh, please don't why my next one.

Please don't take my next one. Please don't take my next one.

Well, it's gonna have to be. I mean, oh man, I really thought Raging Corey was mine.

I did, no, sir, not planned for this.

Okay, I'm a little torn. I'm torn between two.

Are between two lovers, you can lack of food.

No, it's not torn between two lovers. Although there was Yeah, no, that wasn't.

Okay, Okay, it's either I Love You Donna Karenkay. Great episode, such an important episode.

It was really good. It's either that or more of like a one off.

That was just great. But I think I'm gonna have to take I Love You Donna Karen. Yeah, i'mnna, it's too important to It introduces Angela, it's right, and just the whole idea of like falling in love with somebody based on, you know, an abstract idea of them I love and then uh yeah, the.

Bad date scene. It's just great.

So it's a great episode all the way around. Yeah, I love you Donna Karen.

The little moments in that episode, the little moments in that episode were absolutely.

It's a little hard because in my mind I combine it with chasing Angelus.

So I'm afraid.

I'm afraid.

I'm sort of getting extra points because we're we're all doing that, you know, we're all uh and I don't think any of us would choose chasing Angela on our draft.

So I a weird way.

I kind of get two for one with that, but I'm gonna say, yeah, so all right, that.

Was absolutely for sure going to be my number two if I was ever so lucky to get there.

Okay's rible, terrible game to play by my number two.

Terrible game to play.

We should play that in the.

All right, So okay, I Love You Donna Karen is off the board. So wait, do I get two? No?

No, no, you just get one?

Yeah, I have, yes, And then I get to so I have, And then there was Sean you Have No Raging Corey Writer has Heartbreak Corey and I Love You Donna Karen Part one, which are two just banger episode.

And all the romance get all right, well's up next?

There there are some There are some bangers left, but not many. No, Now that's the thing.

So I'm I'm, I'm you know, do I want to go with Boy Meets Real World, which is arguably one of the best. Starry Night is still on the board. No guts, no Corey, do I want to take us right back to World War Two? There's so many to pick from. No fraternity row, I mean, Magnum Pie. We were all together in that journey.

What a.

No.

I think I'm going to stick with my initial because again I've now I say that I don't care about these things. And then last night I'm up going over our.

Podcast again looking at already with your with your first pick being raging Corey, I think you're switching it up and you are totally throwing a trying to.

Throw a blanket over our wrench. You're French, You're trying to win. Actually, I'm just trying to spoil both of somehow. I know I'm gonna lose, but I want both of you to lose too. I don't know how that's going to happen, but that's the goal. So I'm going to go with one that was fun, funny, absurd, and a total one off. I don't think any of you really would have picked this one. I'm going to take Eric Hollywood.

It's one of the best episodes of the season, and you are so good and watching the two of you playing alternate versions of yourself.

But then it gets weird where you're also playing the regular versions of it.

It was I besides.

And then there were Sean It's the best sort of like absurdist episode two.

It was the least circled on my short.

Number of absurdist episodes in this This season had the most crazy ones, right, World War.

Two, Eric Hollywood, and then there was Sean.

We really kind of you know, sometimes we swung for the fences, That's all you can say. Sometimes it was a hit, sometimes it wasn't, but we swung for the fences.

So taking Eric Hollywood off the board nice, all right.

I am up next, and I have two choices back to back, and you know what, it's actually pretty easy for me because we've we're really limiting ourselves in my opinion of the best of the best. I'm going to take one that I don't think is going to maybe be on either of your lists, but it's probably somewhere on there. I'm going to take How to Succeed in Business. Yes, love that episode. I also I gotta have a Broccoli fiel leads in my list, you know, gotta have an ash. So I'm taking How to Succeed in Business Good Call. I am also going to take promises promises.

Yes, that was my next guy. We had the same We all had this. It's just a matter of who got to them first. Okay, Yeah, promises promises so funny that that's ended up being like one of my favorite episodes of this season.

I know mine too, I really, especially because I was absolutely positive before we started the season that whenever that prom episode came around, I was going to despise it.

But that's one of the reasons why it was so good. If everybody tells you a movie sucks for a year and then you go see the movie and it's okay, you're like, that movie was great.

Seems better than okay. It's actually really funny.

Of course, I have a hundred percent agree with Writer's criticism. Of course, there should have been a mention of safe sex, even just a casual one.

We talked about ways in the episode.

But otherwise it's a pretty dash, darn dash garn good episode.

Good episode.

Okay, will you're up next? God, Writer, it feels like a long time since you've had a chance.

That's what I meant. This is I'm really it's just gonna be But you get to next. So raisins versus the crazines.

For me, it's just coconut shaving versus on here.

You know what the really the worst, those like weird gummy fruit gummy like squares that are.

Like there are till they're crowns out, it's gonna be Yeah, that's like they'd be in one of those awful fruitcakes around Christmas time exactly. This is where we kind of are now picking. We're kind of almost to the best of the worst a little bit. There's a couple episodes left, like again Rider has has started where you know, if I just want to mess up the double team and I want to take a chasing Angela, you can. But at the same time, I think you're right. I think picking I love you, Donna Karen kind of in a way grabs the.

Pair if that makes sense. Right, So, and then there's some that are also I could go with.

And we talk about Absurdity, which is a Pembroke, which you guys did not like, but to me was a personally a good and fun episode to do.

So there's something like that and people love that episode.

People loved that episode. Hang on, hang on, I need to do one one quick research.

You're doing math you do math.

If I was doing math, we never would.

Be going anywhere multiply and then they were the one.

One are you asking what will you have?

Raging Corey and oh my god, Yeah you have a great you have a great, great lineup right now?

I do so far, But.

I mean, do we go important for the series? You could easily go Brothers, which was not a great episode, but was Matt Lawrence's intro to the show. So you know, yeah, no, I think hang on, hang on, hang on people.

Okay, okay, what are you phoning a friend?

Are you looking at my list?

I'm just trying to make it fifty to fifty? Okay, all right, you've decided I have, I have? Yeah, okay.

So I I had some criticisms with this episode for not for the acting, not for the episode, but for the message of the episode. But again, it was a good, fun episode. There's a very famous scene in the episode. So I'm going to take Last Tango in Philly.

Oh.

Also, our guest star that we our guest stars that week were hysterical, So I think I'm going to take Last Tango in Philly.

Yeah, it's funny that you picked that one. I know, it is funny that you picked that one though, because boy did it ever make you angry that the theme of that one is that men are bozos, men.

Are stupid, We're just happy to be around girls.

But when I was looking back, there's so many.

Funny lines and is just hysterical all that.

And Bill Daniels dancing. You're never gonna beat that.

So yeah, and the banter when when when you know me and Banner, Yeah, it's it's great when we're working out all the like.

Oh yeah, so I'm taking last tank Philly Man.

All right, writer, you've got two back to back Crazin Raisin picks.

Well, I actually I'm surprised I get to pick the Eskimo.

Oh yes, it's.

A great episode. It's it was way better than I thought. It's a weird one at the end.

I remember we.

Talked about how like it's sort of just like you know, Foenee shaming us to do it even more.

But it's a classic episode. People do love it. It speaks to a lot and you know, it's a good Shawn episode.

And of course the physical comedy in the kitchen scene it's with the soup or bowl famous so famous, So that's Okay, so that's your third pick.

If you had Heartbreak, Corey, I Love You, Donna, Karen Part one and the Eskimo and this is your fourth and final pick.

What are we going to do for the rest of the rest of the hour?

Yeah, this is I mean, there's not a whole lot of great options. I really wish I had had more of a.

God if I take a pander to a pander to pick pick one that maybe you hate but you think the audience loves, Like, what would you if you had to? Okay, even if you don't pick it, if you had to guess, what's an episode of season five that most people think is great that you didn't like?

Which one would you say it is?

That's Left Well Starry Night.

Oh, and that's one that people you know really get, you know, for them, it's like it's it's the heart of Boy Meets World. It's the it's when Corey and to pangt decide no matter what, they're together and it and it reunites them, which you know, story wise is a very but as an episode, none of us really liked it. I had some some good moments with it, but just I just I don't think I can do it.

I can't do.

What about Boy Meets Real World that you liked? It wasn't that the one where you and Jack Wressell and the.

Man was?

That's what that was the episode that was Raging Corey.

That's why episode it.

Has every b story is so solid too.

It's the best, it's the it's the first real like perfect Jack and Sewan life.

It's greatly it's also perfectly balanced. Raging Corey is a great episode.

Okay, so my choices are do I go for?

Because this season has had a lot of like sort of one off crazy episodes and I don't have any of those because relationship or no.

I was thinking of very to Panka.

Christmas is on the table for me because it's it's representative of season five's absurdity, you know, because I miss and then I didn't get in. Then there were sean I didn't get.

I also have to say on a totally absurd level, that matters just for us, a very topanga Christmas also our hundredth episode. Oh you're right, which so that's you know, it's it's inside baseball, but that's important in the sitcom.

It's our hundredth episode.

Yeah, I mean, like, I barely remember was my storyline? Oh it's me and Jack and yeah, that's that's not it's.

Worth they have an aluminum tree.

Also, how what are Christmas traditions are going to be?

Like?

Oh, we both like ice skating.

It's not a good one. It's not a good story.

And I just can't handle the tapanga stuff.

Like, so, I do have to tell you of all the episodes, a very tabanga Christmas is hated by a large swath of people because there are very few things people find less acceptable than an annoying woman, and they think Topanga is pretty annoying in that episode, and therefore it's just you're not women are not allowed to be annoying. No, so people hate it. So if you're gonna pander, don't choose that one.

Okay, uh no, I'm gonna I you know, this is my last pick. I only can Okay, So then I'm gonna say, because I have I'm going to go with like representing the story of.

Boy Meets World.

Well, uh but I'm I'm I'm not gonna pander with Starry Night. This is a good episode, but it's it's mostly an important episode for our show.

I'm gonna take Graduation.

I knew it.

I important to the story of Boy Metrol and I feel like between my picks, now I have the arc of season five, major, major.

Good episode.

Okay, all right, So to recap for writer, he has got Heartbreak, Corey, I Love You, Donna, Karen, Part one, the Eskimo, and Graduation. All right, Will, it's your final pick of season five. Okay, I can't believe this is still difficult for you. You have to take Witches of Penbrook.

Yeah, I think I'm gonna.

I could sit here in hem and Haw, but I think I am going to take the Witches of Pembroke.

Yes, You've got to take it.

It was important to me and I liked it. So yeah, I am going to take the Witches of Pembroke. I'm yeah, I'm gonna go down swinging.

That's all I can say.

You have a really good set of all of your choices.

Okay, So you have Last Tangle He has.

Raging Eric, Eric Hollywood, Last Tango in Philly, and Witches of Penbrook.

Well you know what's crazy about yours?

Then it has no like they're all one offs, like no connection to the like ong.

So you and I have like almost the.

Exact opposite lists because you have great episodes, but they could have been for any season, almost like story.

It's true, right, it's totally true. And you have a season five arc and.

I have a season five arcs.

So it's gonna come down to, uh, so, will you've got a shot?

Buddy?

You're doing great?

Is that kind of Look at you? Look at you?

You learning to draft, You'll come in second this time.

You're doing great, Buddy, you're doing great.

Look at you.

Wow, I love that for you.

I picked a thing.

I love how none of it's gonna matter because everyone's gonna see it.

And then there were Sean and just vote for Danielle. So that's uh, you know, at the end of the day, they just like anyway, yes.

It's not true, that's not true.

Well, at least I recognize you. You know, we're just the guys behind you walking.

You guys grew beards. I can't grow facial hair. I have the Have you tried?

Have you changed at all?

I can grow one hair down here and I don't try for it.

So sweet.

On the other side, people won't just put a little on.

It would at least two more hairs to braid, and I only have the one. But okay, I am, I'm I'm taking Starry Night. And here's why. One it is a little bit of a panda. But two, I got an email from Jeff mccrack and he was not offended that we didn't like Starry Night as much.

But I think he felt bad that he said to me.

All I remember about that week was being thrilled that it was an episode about you that we got to do, and that we got to have an episode that focused on you and we got to have we got to I got to do kind of some fun stuff. Well, and I don't necessarily know that it was fun, but there was a kind of an episode that was supposed to be from the woman's POV of this of this situation, you.

Get to see you go on a date.

Correct, that's kind of non boy meets World POV like we attract.

It was a woman's POV.

Now, my complaint with the episode, and I think I was pretty clear about it at the time that we did the recap. My complaint about the episode is that it was a woman's POV and it felt like it was written by the one person who the be the boy pov is from and it was a little bit of like a but this isn't a well, this isn't all, this isn't to Penga's pov, this isn't like.

It just felt very much like what a women want. Let's throw a let's throw the at the wall.

And so that's what bothered me watching the episode is that I think it was a missed opportunity to.

Correct it's They did gave it lip service, but they didn't actually.

But I do remember thinking at the time that I felt it felt nice that there was gonna be an episode that was kind of about me, and I wish it didn't have to be so heavy handed and all those things, but it was nice. And of course, you know how much I loved working with Jeff McCracken, so I do remember. And Jonathan Jackson, I remember really enjoying working with him, and even though we did not necessarily love his character, we didn't react.

He was a very.

Serious actor, which working with him made me feel like a very serious actor, even though I was not a very good or very serious actor. But I do just remember feeling like it felt like an important week.

And so also I know that a large swath of the audience does love it, So it's a little bit of a pander, a little bit also of a uh try accommodation. Yeah, I'm making an accommodation.

And I in fact that Jeff McCracken, who we love more than anything. Hi, Jeff, you're going to laugh at this, But how about the fact that when he was seventeen he was probably just like that guy the tortured artists go, oh, you're right, come on, of course that's mccrat.

That's that's because maybe why he was so offended. He was like do you remember, Yeah, he would.

Sit there at lunch and say things to me like, when you look up, just know that I'll be looking back at you.

That's right.

Jeff didn used to say that to you.

Don't you remember all that?

Okay, think about it. He was he was an actor.

First eight feet tall already.

Yeah.

Well, he's always had such a great sense of humor, Like don would never be that serious. He would never be that serious.

I don't know, Ricky, You're you're way less serious at forty five than you were at.

Eighteen, or Donnie had.

Ricky had a personality we didn't necessarily get to see it super developed.

But he made that.

Joke about like so I said I wanted to go off to Paris, and then they said okay, and then I realized, oh crap, now I need to do it like he makes he he showed some sense of humor. I think I think you're right. I think I think Ricky a young Jeff McCracken.

Yeah, I think you couldn't see mc cracken in a beret.

Come on, I can only see and a painter's with no shirt, no shirt, and he's just the thing you're telling me, that's not Jonathan Jackson's character.

Right now, He's sitting somewhere in a beautiful home in Connecticut, no shirt on underneath it.

In his house, yes, judging it.

Actually, if we're talking Jeff mccrackett, can we tell the Jeff McCracken watching the monitor face.

This okay?

Let's that's why he's not Ricky is because Jeff is the most empathetic, Like he gives what whoever, whatever energy you're giving him.

He reflects back to you with no filter.

Yes, exactly.

His face is constantly like right, so he couldn't ever, he could never be that guy like brooding, having a conversation with a woman at seventeen.

You know that if he was across the table.

Let's explain it for we'll use this as a social clip before our dear listeners.

Writer explain that the Jeff mcgracken monitor face.

Okay, Jeff directs the scene, you know he he The first couple of days of rehearsal is just you know, letting us discover the scene where we want to go. He gives us all the room, then we lock everything down, and then when the cameras come in. That's when Jeff would get stressed out because he'd have to figure out multi camera. And he was very much an actor focused director, especially when he started Boying Mets World. I think he'd only done a little bit of multicam, so I remember him. You know, he would have his scripts and he would be doing all the things, and then he'd get to the monitor and everything would finally be in place and we would do the scene, and if you ever glanced.

Over, he would be emoting whatever, big big emotions.

Whatever the scene was happening, he would.

It was the best.

It was like he was His face would just become this like reflection of whatever each character from moment to moment he.

Was acting with you. He was like winking with you through the monitor.

It was it made you feel again, I've told the story before. I had to cut my hair and was upset, and he literally went home and cut his.

Hair that night himself. That was the guy.

And so he would act that scene with you every time, and it just.

It was so happy and you're sad. Yeah, it was magical.

It was because he was just letting it happen, you know, he was he was living and what was so cool is that he you know, I think a lot of producers or directors lived in the as a sort of like audience member purely, you know, and they can still have the reactions, but it's all like as a viewer. He was clearly directing from inside the actor experience too, so he was like both in and out of it constantly.

So great, it was awesome.

Absolutely magical.

I mean, I think it goes to say there are very few people we love quite as much.

As Jef mcgregett. Absolutely correct.

All right, well, I feel I feel really good about I will recap again.

So Danielle, that's me I have.

And then there was Sean how To succeed in Business, Promises, Promises and Starry Night, Will has Raging Corey, Eric Hollywood, Last Tango in Philly and Witches of Penbrooke and Writer has Heartbreak Corey.
