Yesterday, the national industrial tribunal decided to give two weeks of paid pandemic leave to aged care staff, including casual employees to encourage workers to stay home if they have symptoms of the coronavirus.
The decision came after Victoria recorded 532 new cases on Monday, a record for the state.
In this episode, national editor Tory Maguire is joined by industrial relations reporter Nick Bonyhady to discuss what paid pandemic leave will mean for aged care workers and whether it's likely to be expanded to other sectors.
