After announcing his retirement and quitting the party, the National Party’s George Christensen has revealed he will instead contest the election as a senate candidate for One Nation.

Christensen has been a controversial figure in the government where he has been a vocal critic of COVID-19 restrictions and was reprimanded by Prime Minister Scott Morrison over dangerous anti vaccination remarks he made earlier this year.
