Local children’s organisation Home Start Butser is preparing for Christmas!
They have extra demands at this time of the year and have 10 new trained volunteers to be matched to families to help.
A successful quiz night has helped a great deal - it brings funding for six months to support about 12 families.
Lucia Smith, Community Development Coordinator at Home Start Butser, talks to Mike Waddington about their work, the new volunteers and says a big 'thank you' to everyone who helped - volunteers, attendees and a special thanks to their sponsors Churcher's College and KJ Smith Solicitors.
Their Young Ambassador, Joe Tully is once again rallying support for Christmas gifts for families.
In early December they have a special fundraising drive where every donation is doubled (see leaflet)!
