Jack Finch catches up with Rob about the next two months of events being held at Chapel street's legendary second hand and Antiquarian bookshop. a talk about Bats from the "Hampshire bat recorder", an intriguing workshop: "the book care clinic", talk and recitals from the work of Dorothy Wordsworth and talk about the library of women writers at Chawton house to name but a few!

Born and raised in Steep Joe wasn't aware of the deep history of his hometown but having moved away and written extensively about Bristol's history and the lesser known civil war during the 12th century Joe stumbled upon the origin story of our town. having been granted the lands around present day Petersfield Robert of Gloucester founded the charter for the market we enjoy to this very day. we take a deep dive into back story of this area with Joe who is a writer and Journalist having written for publications such as Vice and the Bristol Cable.

Sarah Walsh and Geoff Wotton are raising funds to send musical instruments donated by Rocksteady in Liphook, to a school in Jamaica, in an area badly damaged by Hurricane Melissa.

On Tuesday 2 March,  Annie Jones provided the venue free, local stores donated food, 60 people attended and £1,100 was raised. 

With the £700 they had raised beforehand they are almost at their £2000 target (there is a just giving page - see below.)

Shine Radio's Joffe Lacey, as it happens on the losing team that night, spoke to Geoff Wootton abut the project and the evening itself.
