Local campaigner Linda Wallace welcomes the recent Government announcement to increase the availability of meningitis vaccines for young people.
Talking to Mike Waddington, Linda says more about the protection the vaccination offers and why young people heading off to university or college can be vulnerable.
She campaigns with Meningitis Now - which is 40 years old this year - after losing her son Adam to the disease.
It is rare but can be devastating she says but adds, "the protection works."
