Liphook Junior School Teacher Jennifer Brown is retiring as Year 4 Lead, Head Of English and Oracy. For the past twenty years she has also organised a truly wonderful annual event, where the children pay tribute to those who sacrificed everything in the world wars, after travelling here from North America. It is the emotional culmination of a three month history learning journey for the children and was attended by the local vicar, MP Greg Stafford and the Deputy Lord Lieutenant of Hampshire as well as representatives of the Royal British Legion, Canadian High Commission and Armed Forces. For the first time ever the Torch of remembrance was lilt inside the school.

Bramshott Common was one of the largest Canadian military camps in this country, sadly many died of the Spanish Flu in 1918 and 1919. The Commonwealth Graves Commission maintain 318 gravs at St. Mary's Church.
