Jack Finch went to the Queen Alexandra hospital of Portsmouth to meet puppets "Playto the Plesiosaur" and "Pterie the Pterosaur" who reside there and have a show in which they learn about the ways of the human body and the day to day of life in a hospital. This chat is a continuation from an interview with Petersfield resident and QA Microbiologist Dr Andrew Flatt who is the man behind this project which works in conjunction with the hospital trust.

Recipe: Bold Bean craze arrives in Petersfield

It's shooting star season in the Petersphere and from mid-July until the third week of August you can view the best meteor shower of the year. 

Also later in the month, look out for the first Supermoon, in a sequence of 4 this year. This Supermoon will also be a seasonal Blue Moon, which occurs every 2-3 years.

Sky Watch - the night skies above Petersfield in August 2024

This annual event held in Worldham near Kingsley, brings the Muslim community together to celebrate Jalsa Salana UK.

This year was extra special as Cllr Catherine Clark, Chairman of East Hampshire District Council, held her inauguration service at Hadeeqatul Mahdi.

Petersfield Shine Radio’s Julie Butler was there to find out what Jalsa Salana means to everyone that makes the journey to be part of this huge event. She is joined by a fellow reporter from Wey Valley Radio.

They both found out the their unique message to everyone was very clear for all communities across the world.  Love for all-Hatred for none.
