Do you have old glasses stuck in a cupboard or a drawer? If you do, why not consider helping Chloe Bartron, whose personal mission helps to support and ensures a continued steady income to the women living in rural NE Kenya.

 As we get older our eyesight tends to fail us, and for the weavers it becomes harder to see the intricate work of their basket making.

Local news for Wednesday 21st January

This week, we are at the British  Red Cross Shop in Swan Street to find out all about how the shop operates.

It was a very wet day outside, but we had the chance to speak to the shop manager Vicky, along with her band of volunteers. 

We even managed to chat to a few customers that braved the weather to come inside to have a browse to see what treasures they could find.
