An update from Petersfield charity, Maddy's Mark

For years, she sang along to the Carpenters and imagined she was Karen Carpenter. Now she’s taking their story and music to audiences around the country.

Laura Sheppard chats to the creator and star of Rainy Days, Mondays & Good Old Dreams, Kerry Le Bern, about a lifelong love of the Carpenters, the story behind the show and what she discovered when she started looking beyond those famous songs.

From singing into a cassette recorder to celebrating Karen Carpenter on stage

On Saturday 12 September about 600 rubber ducks - sponsored at £5 a time - raced down the River Rother to hundreds of spectators’ cheers at the Annual Trotton Duck Race and Fete. 

Simon and Neil are co-chairs of the organising team of 70, who tell us what its about and the causes it supports.

Amidst the festivities we hear from the ever popular Donut Tree, children's coconut shy, cake stall (though sadly there is no interview with the Egg Chucking team...)

We also hear from Eco Rother Action who conduct water testing along the Rother; events like this, they say, helps raise the importance of volunteer action on water quality.

But the day belonged to the crowds cheering their ducks over the course.
