Perry admits, “There is this massive gap between who I am and who Jesus is, and I feel that deeply.” It’s a raw conversation about when we feel like we’re not enough and what God feels about us when he knows we’re not enough.

How can you know if you’re growing spiritually? By taking an honest look at the fruit of the Spirit in your life. The Holy Spirit does the heart work from the inside out to make us more like Jesus.

Perry shares, “I was feeling discouraged, a bit down, even a little depressed. And that was yesterday!” And then he started thinking about the gospel and he realized God was speaking right into his discouragement.

Yesterday was a hard day for Perry. But on the way in to do the show this morning, the Lord showed up to restore his anxious heart. New mercies are really a thing! 

When our circumstances are hard, hopelessness sinks in. But when we fix our eyes on God we are reminded that anything is possible.

Last, at what age should we start giving children money for helping out so they learn how to handle, save, buy things, basically to learn to manage money, and how much should we give them?
