Christian kind of the same old story, if you guys again, how frustrating a day was today? Disappointing a day was today?
Yeah, it hurts. I mean we put in so much work. I mean it's it's obviously not enough. So I mean, Herdson the same thing I've said every week. I mean, we just got to get back to busting and get to work again.
From an individual share point, people always se control you can control. Colin felt like that was your best game of the year.
It felt like you.
Do.
I feel like that was my best game. I mean I ain't really worried about it. I mean I try. I want to win, so I mean whatever the personal stats are, it is, it is what it is, but I want to win.
So you surprised they kept throwing to Arrison in your match up against him?
See when Yeah, no, I'm not surprised. I mean he's a great receiver. I mean that's that's their guys. So they're gonna go to him. And I told him after the game, you know he's he's the truth. Uh he got he got, he got all the tools to to be real good. So it was it was a fun matchup. I have fun and maybe see each other again.
How do you feel when you're challenged in the rest of my dad?
I mean I invited. I mean I you know, that's that's what That's what it is. As a corner, you know, you you you want them to throw your way. You know, you want you want to be able to make plays for the team, so when they throw it, you know, try to make the players that come your way.
If all that's going on, you know, you're you're an outbeat guy every week. How much does it wear on you? Though?
The fact that you guys are just you know, coming up.
Sure, ye, I mean it hurts, but I mean, you know, we just we just gotta work. I mean, it is what it is, and you know, there's there's just there's nothing more that we can do that than then work. I mean, nobody, nobody really cares. We just gotta work harder. So get back in the building and correct this game and get ready for the Bills.
Want to play. Looks like you gotted football out pretty late there in the end zone.
Just can you take me through that play? And what are your technique is there?
Yeah? It was a I think he ran like a fade from the slot. You know, I was a little out of phase, so you know, you don't want to look back to you're in you're in phase, and uh, I didn't get back in phase. And at that point, you just played through the hands. You play through the pocket, punch through the ball and uh you know they may catch it at first, but it's all the way to the ground. So you know, you just keep fighting to the to the end of the ground.
How much coach helps you to get a great position. There are times you look back for the ball and he's watch the leaf it'll turn around some corners on an island and your flag for it. But how much you feel bad today just looking back for that ball?
Yeah, for sure, Mike. Mike does a great job of getting all of us ready for the whole week. So, I mean, we work on it every days. It's one of our everyday drills. They said, you can be out of position, you gotta turn around and look for the ball where like you said, they're gonna hit you with the flag. So you know, we talk about just staying poised, don't panic, never panic, Just be poised. And you know, if you'reut of phase, play out of phase. If you're in this hip pocket, you can turn around and look for the ball. Appreciate you, yep.
Money The same question for you guys on offense, How frustrating seems like over and over moving the ball? You're running the football, ball holding the second series, you're moving the balls?
Yeah, frustrating?
Is that early on, especially with this.
I mean, yeah, it's very frustrated, especially you know this point of the season. Uh, you know, we think we're we're going to you know, practice ironing and things out, but you know, obviously we aren't. So I guess you just got to go back to the drawing boards and you know, just hammery, harder.
Pretty good pass protection today, like you know, a couple of pickups guys off the face.
Yeah, I want you to.
Been working on that this year.
I've been working on it a lot. Uh And you guys probably hear me say this all the time. I watched a lot of James White films, So just watching him and you know, having him around me, Uh as a younger guy, you know, helped me out a lot. And I think it's uh, you know, showing on tape this year.
Those are some of the things you've been trying to do here.
You know, the records, the record, but I.
Should play these last three games even just.
A little thing, oh yeah, oh yeah, of course. Uh, just sharpening everything up. You're never going to see me, you know, hold my head or you know, not go out there and give it one hundred percent. So y'all be working on everything. All the little stuff I think we need to work on will be you know, displayed at these last couple of games.
And how impol is that to show the rookies, show the younger guys to you guys as better to keep grinding.
Yeah, it's huge. I think it's huge just in football and just in life period. So just keep going and I'll put your best foot forward up always.
Antonio Rumsway did this last year, So how much does that help you keep you fresh?
Guys?
Uh, it's good, you know. Yeah, he'd been running that thing lately, so you know, just getting him, getting him going. We already we already knew what he could do, so just put it on tape and yeah, it helps me out a lot.
Last question for me is how good do you think when everything's going for you guys finally get it? How good this offense?
I mean, I think we could be very dangerous, but you know, I can't really just sit here and say that after you know, we're losing games and not scoring in the red zone and you know, doing our part. So I think, yeah, if we were consistent and we did what we needed to do on you know, every play with the sky's the limit.
Mm hmm, I feel like you can run the ball more you get nine we're running for I'm not big critical. Yeah, you're the type of guy calling games for a couple of years when you get.
Yeah, of course, I think that's that dates back to when I started even playing football. Uh, you know, the market get going. Uh, you know the mare I produce and things like that. Just like you said, nothing against a VP or anything like that, Yeah exactly. Uh, but yeah, I just get stronger as a game go as Mark carries out get I think, yeah, exactly. Appreciate you guys.
Just talk to how frustrating you said as an offense to move the ball, especially early and then holding penalty and then the second series. You know, it's a sack things that keep giving you like stops you guys doing so well offensive.
Uh, it's just like a repeat thing, you know, every every game. You know, Uh, we will move the ball and then we'll find somehow to you know, go backwards. And uh, I feel like that's what's been hurting us, you know this whole year. You know, we'll have a good drive and then we have something to take it back.
I was like, you're you're the veteran receiver of the group. I mean, get KB back. He's coming off the injury. They used to be catch today. But how much you feel you can help impact these two young kids. Final the last three weeks of the year, Buffalo and Drummers come up.
Uh, for me, I say, you know, you know, stay on the more and practice, you know, uh, push them to just so they can see their potential.
You know.
Uh, you know they haven't been seeing the field as much, so you know they they spirits could be down and you know things like that. I feel like it's our job to you know, lift them up and you know, give them that that confidence. And whenever, when anybody on the field with confidence, they play good. So we got to just give them that confidence. Right in fact, yes, Sir.
Cried the touchdown pass with Drake after left.
Uh, Drake a ball player that was that was a player.
Uh.
I thought he was gonna keep running and then uh, he just I just moved into the spot and I meant the little space that you know, it was open, and he just you know, tossed it and uh that was a that was a good ball player by Drake.
Onmes made that that brought me, bro, Were you ready for.
It or was it like, you know, kind of one of those things Okay, here it comes, here it comes.
Yeah.
I just you know, when I moved into the space, I ain't know if he seen me or not. So man, when I seen the ball and then I'm like, okay this and then I I was I was ready for it off.
A boss question. You know, when plays break down and he starts to break it. Tain Huns talked about this staying alive because.
You never know when the ball might be coming, right, you know.
That will be breakfast one and more you start to get SMI on the same page.
With him after Yeah, well yeah, with Drake, you know, you never know he can run it or he could, you know, So I mean when he when he uh sprints out, I mean, the defense have to respect it because he can use his feet too, so uh for us to receive us, either we see an open space and get open and he finds us, or we blocked.
Those are things to keep you going though, Like it seems like it might be easy to get frustrated with the three and eleven record, but then drink things play like that you guys get an un touchdown.
Yeah, man, I just you know, I could see you know, we're still working. I mean, you know for the next year, you know, I mean this year not over. But man, we got a young team and it's it's like it'd be frustrating to how we can move that ball and then we just go backwards. I mean, but when we move that ball in in this tempo, we're different. And uh, I feel like we're still we're still trying to find ourselves, you know, as a young team, and we're trying we're trying to make something happen. But I feel like as we rebuild, it's gonna be good. Ye, thank you, thank you.
