First Nations people from both Darwin, Australia and Anchorage, Alaska talk about maintaining culture, introducing themselves, their communities, work, life and cultural connections and aspirations. Both Nations, the Larrakia and Dena'ina, share how they are revitalising their culture and language, despite the devastation of colonisation.
Parallel Hearts captures the shared experiences, challenges, aspirations and dreams of two First Nations peoples, the Larrakia people of Darwin, Australia and the Dena’ina people of Anchorage, Alaska. Darwin and Anchorage are Sister Cities, a program that fosters to promote cross-cultural understanding and build vibrant and connected communities, generating mutual benefits for both cities.
