Verona Sagato-Mauga is the Executive  Director and owner of Renew Wellness & Recovery, a women's residential addiction and mental health treatment center. She is also one of the owners of Sagato Bakery & Cafe, a popular family owned business in Utah. 

Verona serves as a Commissioner for the racial equity in policing commision for the Salt Lake Police Department and has recently been appointed by the Mayor of Salt Lake County to the Council of Diversity Affairs, the focus of her work on the council will be economic development. She also works as a political campaign consultant and has successfully ran state legislator and city council races.
