History was made in Samoa last week when for the first time ever, an all-female crew took part in a long boat (or fautasi) race in Apia harbour.  The race was part of the Marist St Joseph’s 70th anniversary celebrations Fautasi Regatta.

Le Afioga ia Vaimasanu’u Zita Martel, well known and respected as Samoa’s Warrior Queen, assembled, coached and captained the history making crew.
