The Fa’afaite, a traditional voyaging canoe, is currently making it’s way from Tahiti to New Zealand, as part of the Tuia 250 Voyage. The voyage not only celebrates traditional navigation, as used by our Polynesian ancestors, but also, will honour and celebrate the life and role of Tupaia, the Tahitian master navigator who assisted James Cook’s Endeavour.
