As we continue our celebrations of Cook Islands Language Week 2021, we’re joined now by Keutekarakia (Keu) Mataroa who was officially welcomed to his post as Cook Islands Consul General to New Zealand earlier this year.
Keu has held a number of notable roles in the Cook Islands - Manager - Regional Programs & DRM Coordination with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Planning, National Project Consultant, Renewable Energy Development Division - Office of the Prime Minister, An executive Committee Member of the Cook Islands Civil Society Organisation (CISCO) Inc, which is the umbrella body for Cook Islands NGOs. As well as Acting Collector of Customs, HM Customs service, a role he held for 20 years, to name a few.
