Join Mac Ikitule (Rowandale School, Auckland) and Meleua Ikiua (Alfriston College, Auckland), speaking in Vagahau Niue, as they talanoa on Literacy & Numeracy support and what it means for students working towards NCEA.

This week, we break down the co-requisite requirement:
Students must achieve 10 Literacy (Te Reo Matatini) credits and 10 Numeracy (Pāngarau) credits across NCEA Levels 1, 2, and 3.

We cover:
• What literacy and numeracy mean in today’s learning
• How students can achieve these credits throughout their NCEA journey
• Classroom learning approaches and expectations
• Daily foundations from Years 1–8
• What this means for Years 9 & 10
• How literacy and numeracy are assessed across subjects
