Indigenous elite sports athletes, such as those from the Pacific Islands, are becoming increasingly visible in many sporting codes. But Dr Lefao-ali'i Dion Enari, AUT senior lecturer in Sports & Recreation, is advocating for more Pacific people in non-playing roles beyond just being the athlete and the welcoming ceremony.
