An International Labour Organization (ILO) report says there's a worrying level of youth unemployment in the Pacific region. Despite the region's unemployment rates reverting to pre-pandemic levels, the issue persists. Christian Viegelahn, an employment specialist at ILO's Pacific Islands Office, was the principal author of the report, and joined #PacificMornings to shed some light on the challenges faced by the region regarding youth employment.#PMNNews #ILO #PacificYouthUnemployment

The first Social Supermarket in South Auckland opened at the start of April. Located in Ōtāhuhu, the service provides food support for those finding it difficult to afford groceries.It’s the 11th Social Supermarket nationwide, and Foodstuffs partnered with Māngere Budgeting Services Trust in bringing it to South Auckland. Joining us now is Trust Chief Executive, Lara Dolan, to give us her response to criticism from a local community leader about the initiative.
