An International Labour Organization (ILO) report says there's a worrying level of youth unemployment in the Pacific region. Despite the region's unemployment rates reverting to pre-pandemic levels, the issue persists. The first Social Supermarket in South Auckland opened at the start of April. Located in Ōtāhuhu, the service provides food support for those finding it difficult to afford groceries.It’s the 11th Social Supermarket nationwide, and Foodstuffs partnered with Māngere Budgeting Services Trust in bringing it to South Auckland.
