Nacanieli Yalimaiwai is a Trustee and Governance Board member of The Fono, a Pasifika-based charitable trust providing affordable medical, dental, social services, education and whanau ora services across five locations in Auckland, primarily focusing on Pasifika and Maori communities.

Nacanieli is also Chairperson of the Finance, Audit and Risk Committee of The Fono.

A Chartered Accountant and lawyer by profession with degrees from University of Waikato, and MBA from University of Auckland), Nacanieli is a current member of the Chartered Accountants of Australia and New Zealand . (Holds LLB and BMS (Acctg).
