Internationally acclaimed director and choreographer Lemi Ponifasio is one of three talented artists set to guest curate the New Zealand Festival of Arts this year.
From a young age Lemi set out to find and search for meaning in life. Art was a conscious choice to see how the world can make sense in own sense of thinking. He believes that creation of art is a natural curiosity about the world and how to find the world more mysterious.
The Te Ata component is a groundbreaking creative development that will culminate in a week of public performances and events hosted by Porirua City. We need to create access and Porirua is a big city that has a large youth population who are the new innovators, healers and creators of the world.
"Art is an action to recover culture, to recover language, to serve our communities and families and build our country."
